Anyone know any?
i'm gonna try to make it to that halloween night.
any chance you might be interested in hearing bands for future shows?
God Don't Like It
Transient Constellations, as above.
And us, Be Prepared: www.beprepareduk.com
thanks for the response, these all look rad,id heard of miles of smiles but none of the others.
you guys got somewhere i might send a demo?
That's probably the best bet (for us and other promoters).
Hope you can, should be a good one!
Sure, please email stuff to email@example.com
Is the first time anyone apart from me has put a link to GDLI on here!! Thanks Marckee :) :)
My next one for the noise fans is this show:
Featuring Cementimental amongst others.
The Star Of Kings is the old Cross Kings, isn't it? Not been to a gig there yet.
Yep Star of Kings is old Cross Kings but totally different. Got a wicked club style basement with big sound system etc. Perfect for the gig I think
I'll be there. Anthony, I sent you an e-mail earlier (having followed marckee's link) if you get a chance to check it out
Just in my 2nd day working in a new office and just have my Spotify connected to the speakers here so I think don't want to push the boat out too far for a noise band just yet ;)
Will check it out later today though
there might be a slot available at a gig we're playing soon if any bands are interested
might as well post link to THIS year's halloween gig we're doing - https://www.facebook.com/events/355543677866797
a bit busy with the label now these days!
the God Don't Like It plug but I don't really do shows anymore.
Well occasional little bits, that Blanck Mass show at XOYO is a bit of a 1 off.
Anyway, might as well take the opportunity to mention that our next gig is at Cafe Oto on Friday, and is AUN, thisquietarmy and Petrels. Yeah! http://www.wegottickets.com/event/179918
This was a thread for 2011. It's after 12, I'v had a few, we will just forget this :)
Nearly a year to the day I first posted this! All of the above look awesome, gutted that I'm working tomorrow and will miss yours marc
Update to original post--ended up starting my own monthly night of noise. Next one's at the end of the month
Anyone interested in playing in the future, please get in touch!
Killer, sent you a PM!
Old thread, I know, but I came across it when I was initially looking for gigs for Far Rainbow (https://soundcloud.com/far-rainbow) so now that we're putting on our own shows, I thought it worth mentioning here.
Zero Wave takes its name from a Strugatsky brothers book and takes place on the third Tuesday of the month at the Fiddler's Elbow (Malden Rd, Chalk Farm/Kentish Town West). Experimental music, improv, electronic, contemporary composition, sound art, etc. Next one will feature pieces by John Cage, Christian Wolff, Iannis Xenakis, and Helmut Lachenmann played by Langham Research Centre and Aisha Orazbayeva. More details here https://www.facebook.com/events/873892322652775/
Do give us a shout if you'd like to play at a future event.
You can hear us at http://soundcloud.com/youtheliving - we play noisy electronic stuff. Think Cocteau Twins meets Einstürzende Neubauten. Our album's pretty much finished, and it really ramps up the noise, compared to what's up on there. Let us know if you're up for us having a walk down the road to play a gig.
The furry hooves are upon ye all - I was hoping this thread wouldn't be dead in spite of starting in 2011 and I'm very happy to see posts from as recently as May this year.
I run a monthly experimental / noise night at Ryan's Bar in Stoke Newington - every last Tuesday of the month - called The Peoples' Noise. The next one coming up is Tues 30th June and the headline is Waterflower who's on tour from Riga (and has artists coming down from Glasgow and Bristol to play alongside in a 6-strong line-up which is going to be chaotically killer). Next two will be 28th July and then 25th August - both are fully booked as well with packed out line-ups of amazing artists from far and wide as well as localised ones.
