Kuedo
Jamie Vex'd chats about his new album 'Severant' with Blackdown. He's too good. If you've been into albums from Zomby, Sully, Machinedrum, DJ Diamond, etc this year it'll be right up your street. He's got that widescreen Vangelis synth thing going on too, but its melted to a footwerk/hip-hop kinda space. Awsome.

and his King Midas Sound remix
is godly...
The snippets on the Planet Mu site sound amazing
I'm looking forward to this one. Planet Mu as well as that blinder of an LP by Sully have completely changed my mind about Footwork in the latter half of this year. The amount of different angles people are coming in off it and creating different sounds is intriguing and i'm starting to dig the stuff coming out of Chicago too. Whilst it seems to be garnering a slightly 'hip' reputation already (The speed the press/hype machine works is insane) but it's producing stuff which is genuinely captivating.
yeah, the planet mu clips sound ace
not totally convinced by the footwork pioneers yet (DJ Roc, DJ Nate and DJ Diamond), though Machinedrum and Sully absolutely killed it with their debuts and there's an obvious footwork influence going on there. Really looking forward to hearing Kuedo's in full.

Album streaming on Guardian site
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2011/oct/10/kuedo-severant-album-stream?intcmp=ILCMUSIMG9382
Ordered this on wax last night
Only a tenner on the Mu site with a digital download, ridiculous. Can't decide whether to wait for it to arrive or hit the Guardian stream now... (wtf is up with the Guardian getting all these exclusive streams at the moment?)
hit it up now
you'll still be listening to it by the time it arrives. It's too good.
Right, headphones on, here we go.
Woah this picks up the pace pretty rapidly doesn't it
Scissors is amazing.
Its so so so so good
I got a mate to stream the whole thing over the soundsystem in our SU this afternoon and its exceptional.
Album is sweeeeeeeet
Seriously, how good is this record
Anyone who misses Airwolf will be in heaven. Nice timing from Marcus on the watermarks too.
Airwolf?
The 80s TV series?
That's what I got
Lots of sleek data and action beats. Kind of Airwolf with Hyperdub Record decals.

Best use of a sample I've heard in a while...
Now we just need Kuedo's track over that vid and the odd edit.
Such a banger, the album is too good.
My copy arrived yesterday.
Yep, absolutely love it, been playing it so loudly, the bass is so warm the percussion is so sharp and mechanical, works perfectly.
Just read the album review on a whim (hadn't ever heard the name before)
- really glad I did!
Just reading the descriptions I could tell I would love this and lo and behold - I do! Just ordered the album now :)
Great stuff.
oh wow
just given this one a listen. Vangelis + dubstep = a very good idea.
it's at times likes this I wish there was a less hateful word than 'lush' to describe things with that particular quality.
