Just saw Cymbals Eat Guitars at Rough Trade East
Anyone else there?
Overally good...they all seem very unsure of themselves still. A bit like a school band, but then they get very loud and it all makes more sense. I really like him as a vocalist.

I'm going to see them on Thursday
at the Lexington. Looking forward to it, I got the album at the weekend.
I'll be there too.
I've only listened to the album twice so far but I've read good things about their live shows.
yep
was good. The usual static RTE chinscratcher crowd, but fun nonetheless. I like how they have that muppet band movement thing going on
Great Lp despite the long delay hope they come to glasgow in the future
they're playing edinburgh on 16th November
if you're willing to travel :)
I've heard good things and tempted to go on Thursday
what do they actually sound like though? At work so links are no good for now.
thinking about going to their night&day gig
on the 17th, but woods is also playing the academy that night, and i'm working, so i'll have to see what happens
I think I'm going to head to the manchester date aswell.
They're also doing a instore at piccadilly records as well - http://tinyurl.com/ylgc4ge
I wanted to go to this to check out North Atlantic Osscillation
as I keep missing them, I really like them and don't know anything about Cymbals Eat Guitars so should be interesting if I do make it
Seeing them tonight
And the Flaming Lips.
Scrotum, it's £7.50 on Thursday and worth it :)
I'm sure it is
I'm guessing by the name at fast, loud, heavy post-rock that twists and turns a lot?
No
They sound like american 90's indie rock bands like pavement and built to spill with a hint of modest mouse thrown in for good measure. They are excellent!!
awesome
people who are going to see them: remember to bring earplugs
Troxy last night
Wasn't too loud was it? But it's always better for your ears to wear earplugs at gigs anyway, people.
Lexington is sold out!!
Any tickets on the door at the Lexington tonight?
or does anyone have a spare?
likewise
has anybody got a spare for tonight?
