Xiu Xiu
I really like it
but dont know what took so long as the album sounds almost exactly the same as the myspace demos (unless I accidentally downloaded the demos), the bull and the ram is probably the best song of 2009
*took them
I've got all the demo versions and I'd say they sound vastly different in many cases.
Though Jamie's contributions are subtle, they certainly add lots to the songs. All the synth strings and backing vox which weren't on the demos.
really loving this at the moment
this and the Zol Jesus album are current faves. any possibility of a UK tour?
the album is on upset the rhythm isn't it? if it is I think its almost a certainty they'll be here soon
i dunno
new Xiu Xiu album is done and out first part of next year, isn't it?
it could easily be freddy ruppert / nika roza as a tour though
jamie stewart doesn't need to be involved in the live shows as he's not too heavily involved in the recordings.
also the dates on the myspace seem to be freddy ruppert solo.
ah man, i'd love to see a xiu xiu/former ghosts/zola jesus collaborative tour with solo sets so much
Freddy Ruppert live
is just totally consuming.
This is my album of the year by miles.
quite possibly
my album of the year.
been a long long time since i've listened to a record on repeat so much
probably the best thing i've heard since ys or something.
I so need to find that...
Is this available for a legal download anywhere?
Itunes/eMusic don't seem to have it.
