i like it. I keep wanting it to be..i dunno, a bit heavier? they're playing near me soon though, might be tempted to go along. totally in love with all their tshirts though, awesome stuff.
they've been around a few years now... and have members from other well known bands like Icarus Line but they haven't had the same exposure as some of their 'younger' peers such as Young Widows, Helm Alee and Pissed Jeans.
I could have booked them for this Fri but I missed the message asking for gigs :(.
It's weird that they are playing such small shows..definitely. And yes, considering Jesus Lizard asked them personally to tour the West Coast with them.
Hammers are cool. Silent Front and pipecleaner (they have a new name that I forget) playing with them too. And Chickenhawk who are sort of the odd ones out on that bill
I live in Montana and I want to create a sound and aesthetic that is a bit metal and a lot of Montana. Music that captures how my homeland make me feel and speaks to it's unique qualities and uses site centric themes. I used to get pretty excited about it.
Black Elk kind of remind me of that whole train of thought and I am excited about it again.
sounds good
to me!
pretty cool
I want one of their shirts for sure
this is fucking aces
They're playing my local in a few weeks
might check them out!
Nice.
Aside from the horrible experience of listening to music on MySpace.
truth
go to the website..has more songs on stream
k i'm properly in love with them
Who Knew is huge. My Last Shred Of Decency & Stab mean i'm not itching for the new Daughters record as uncontrollably as i was... fucking mint.
Who Knew is Karp-tastic!
Last Shred of Decency goes in and out of so many styles...it's just friggin' kill3r!
I think Last.fm recommended these guys to me a while ago
I should have paid attention at the time, because the stuff on their myspace sounds really excellent. Still, better late than never.
Oh, I should have known.
Portland bands <3
I may have to see them when they come back home in December. This is really great.
I can see their strengths...
but this is not my cup of tea, to use a cliche. Love the T-Shirt, though.
it't a very nice tee
and the hoody looks pretty lovely

remind me a lot of Mínus circa Jesus Christ Bobby
i like.think they could do a lot better though, loads of potential im sure
stuff on the myspace has a lot of the 2004 ep
the newer stuff's a bit more of a genre smasher
I thought this was one of them ironic, humorous topics
after giving the band a listen.
^
horrible imo
nah
that thread would be about you getting laid
on first listen

go the main website for more songs
they are a strange band (but I like it)...they veer from slacker/arty noise rocky , through to hardcore and then go all tech metal in bits.
Just a perfect combination.
I'm going to see them twice on the 21st!
the more i listen to this
the more i like it. They're like if Rick Froberg was in Earth. Actually more and more awesome.
I don't see that comparison
But it's an excuse to listen to them more to find it!
might just be from the song i was listening to at the time
they have lots of songs to download on their site, awesome!
Hmm, that makes it sound ace.
I thought this would be an embarressing JAG
but then I listened anyway. Pretty Wowzer. The tapping bit in the middle of Monster is top quality.
I'm going to see these
Kinda weird seeing a band that just did a tour with Jesus Lizard play in such small venues...Hammers too, another amazing band.
yeh

aren't they supposed to be called...
black moose?
I love their artwork on their website gate page I've been thinking of that aesthetic for years
With the blinking elk eyes- they follow you.
