Fucked Up to re-record 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'
From NME.com (http://www.nme.com/news/fucked-up/48274)
Fucked Up are going to re-record the classic charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'.
Using the $20,000 they got from winning the Polaris Prize, the Canadian band are going to release the single featuring a host of artists.
"[We already have] David Cross, members of Vampire Weekend, TV On The Radio, Broken Social Scene, the GZA, Bob Mould, No Age, and Yo La Tengo all confirmed." Frontman Pink Eyes told Vulture.
"I'm still waiting on confirmation from Feist, Jarvis Cocker and MIA. We wanted the biggest people we could get. If we could get a Jonas Brother on this, I would get a Jonas Brother." He added.
Set to raise money for less known charities such as Justice For The Missing, the band's record label Matador have confirmed the project will be happening, but a release date is yet-to-be announced.

'A rep for Matador, the band's label, confirms that they are indeed working on the track. No word yet on who will get the climactic Bono "thank God tonight it's them instead of you" part. Our vote is for anyone other than David Cross or the GZA.'
hehehehe
oh man, I wish the GZA would get it
"Thank motherfucking god tonight it's them instead of you, motherfucker"
if they got a jonas brother it would be truly brilliant
They should get the Jonas brother to sing the Bono line
