Reall good album
not one of the best but very enjoyable has a handful of classic singles and doesnt have much filler
check my list on my latest rant
Demon Days was huge
You do have a point there
had forgotten how much I liked it when it came out. I´m going to give it a listen...
one of the most forgotten records of the decade
phenomenal. got to see the live show too, which was one of the best of the decade for sure.
i think it has to be in a least the top 30 though
Just remembered this album myself.
Mainly because I was listening to BORN LIKE THIS. and remembered how immaculate November Has Come was.
Definitely one of the best albums of the decade, and far, FAR too overlooked.
definitely
just definitely
easily in my top albums of the decade list
just fantastic. and yeah the Opera House gig will certainly stay with me too, i don't think i ever clapped so hard at a gig.
if by any chance anyone hasn't seen the manchester opera house DVD, do yourselves a favour:

just going to go look for my copy now!
forgot how good it is.
Favourite songs people?
November has come and el manana - the first time i heard the latter it made me cry. YEH PUSSY'OLE I NO
Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head
and O Green World
It's an album that completely changed my view
of what hip-hop could be. Funny it took a white British bloke to do it, but there you go. Fantastic record.
danger mouse is american,
where hip-hop was invented.
it ain't wrong to think it's a good album, that's your taste. mine too.
love it
Damon Albarn is a genius.
I won't hear any arguments about that point. He is.
Every Planet We Reach Is Dead
Their debut was incredible, too.
It's funny
I was just thinking this morning how great an album it really is and how I need to go back and invest myself in it yet again. So very great.
I find with Gorillaz albums
probably as a result of there being so many collaborators, that they're always a real mixed bag - it's usually impossible to like everything on there. Still, Demon Days is a lot less skippable than the debut was.
Dirty Harry is a highlight for me, especially when the rap comes in, by surprise, halfway through the song. And Feel Good Inc. was amazing before everyone heard it 123456789 times.
the new opera
with Alan Moore writing the libretto is actually going to happen!
i've tried many times to get into them
but apart from a couple of standout tracks on each, both albums seem pretty ham-fistedly bad.
damon albarn's one of those people who's music i've always wanted to like, but i've never managed it. the good the bad and the queen were one of the worst acts i've ever heard.
