Should be a day or two.
Though for international orders within Europe count on a week. There has been some disruption in UK due to postal strike as well.
i've waited over a month
for my monoliths and dimensions package from southern lord, thats getting a bit worrying because of how much it cost. And i've be waiting nearly a month for Have A Nice Lifes Deathconsciousness LP. hmmmm its annoying, i thought it must be the postal strikes.
I post records every day
and the postal strike hasn't made much difference to be honest.
If I order something online and it doesn't arrive in 2/3 days I contact the company to find out if they've sent it. A month is taking the mick.
Lets face it all they have to do is stick the item in a mailer and put the address on it. 99% of 1st class mail arrives next day in my experience.
it's enough to make a person shop at hmv
and that's not a dig at you...the whole reason for ordering stuff from labels for me is so the artist gets more cut, so it's taking the piss a bit when they keep ya waiting
I know.
I hardly ever buy online, but one the few occasions that I have I've had mixed results. I find that the shops/labels blame the postal system when there is a problem. As I sell records online I am suspicious of this as I have never had a problem after 200+ transactions.
I'd send them a stern email or phone them on Monday. It is very frustrating.
I
Waited ages once for a record to ship from rough trade....so I called them up and asked em where the order was and they had a look and it was just sitting there..it took me calling them to remember to put it in the post.
Needless to say I only use normanrecords.com these days. Never, ever had a problem with them.
On a similar tack...
I've had a couple of times where I've pre-ordered, waited, chased them & they've said "We're not getting that now, so the order's cancelled". Thanks for letting me know. I avoid using them unless really desperate for something & even then I'm more inclined to go in person & pick it up. Normans are the greatest, nothing but good things to say about them.
pm me your order number / full name?
i'll look into it.
rough trade took ages
I was waiting on Atlas Sound for about 2 and a half weeks before it came I had to email them twice before they replyed too. It might have been the postal strike but I'd had no problems from other places durring that time so who knows... I doubt I'll bother with them any time soon.
Can only agree with the above
been waiting nearly two weeks for a James Blackshaw lp from Rough Trade. Normans on the other hand are always really swift.
