Ordered!
excitingness!
Easily excited.
terrifyingly so
Pfft
So there's Ten Years programme stuff included with the DVD? Way to make me even more annoyed about the festival I'm not going to.
Here's a question: are you going to be screening the film at the Xmas ATPs? If you say that it's going to be screened at the 10 Years one but not NBC then you get letterbombs (not really).
no, there are bits from the last ten years of atp programmes
in the booklet including up to Breeders in may.
film programme for xmas atps aren't confirmed yet.
Ah, cheers.
You should get the film on at the festivals though - it'd be better than watching Withnail & I catch fire like last time.
I'm tempted to buy this
any further information of who is included in "over 50 minutes of full length performances"
I think ATP should have their own sub forum.
To save cluttering up the Music forum with adverts for this borefest.
whereas I think you should have your own
for people who can't decide whether they're a retard or not
woah!
easy! its not nice to joke about other peoples mis-fortunes! ATP HATES RETARDS! - OFFICIAL!
They can make you a sub forum whilst they're at it
"indier-than-thou"
That wouldn't interest me really.
I don't listen to that much indie music these days.
I thought dubstep was the new indie?
I don't know. Either way, you act like a jumped up little indie boy yet dedicate so much time accusing other users on this site of being exactly that. It's half funny and half embarrassing.
Every time you post
it's a bump for these threads. Well done!
Agreed, thanks for making me notice this thread brightonb
I'm very close to buying this thanks to you, however still awaiting an answer as to what the extra full length footage is before I commit
extended footage of:
Grinderman
Portishead
Lightning Bolt
Les Savy Fav
Daniel Johnston
The Stooges
Shellac
The Gossip
Dirty Three
Cheers very much Jamie
That is the answer I wanted, will probably buy this by the end of the day
Out of interest,
which Les Savy Fav performance is extended (Vs The Fans please!)?
yes it is the fans one :-)
Grinderman with Bobby Gillespie?
Please, no.
It doesn't need me to bump it.
There are enough sad fuckers who hang on every word Jamie types.
Are you having a midlife crisis or something?
Do you think that da yoof think it's hip to slate ATP because maybe they've reached out to a wider audience making them commercial and $ell outs? Huh?
If you have an issue with ATP line ups then bring it to the attention of the curators, not ATP.
What are you on about?
Long past caring about the line ups - it's obvious that they won't change the formula until it becomes a commercial necessity.
The constant stream of posts advertising ATP is tiresome. Thats all.
No, because all of the ATP line ups are SO commercial
fucking sell outs.
You do have the option of ignoring ATP posts if you find them tiresome. Others manage to do it.
Commercial?
Seems a strange adjective to use. Do you mean predictable, or old maybe?
I don't mean either of those
Having been to ATP NBC last year and vs. The Fans this year I can quite happily inform you that neither were predictable. Looking at the current line up for MBV ATP it's also got a fair amount of bands I've never heard of or haven't seen at ATP before.
It has a bloody high proportion of artists
who are over the age of 40!
Not that you're one to be ageist
or at least I hope not given that you're 36...
*snigger*
So, whats your point?
That festivals should only have young artists? That older artists are less worthy, not relevant? That a company shouldn't be allowed to focus on established artists? There are plenty of festivals dedicated to or feature new artists you know?
It still confuses me why you dislike ATP for not being something it has never claimed to be or not the way you would do a festival!?
The guy is a plank
I should ignore it but it makes the working day go quicker.
haha..
.. to be fair I don't actually think he is a plank. brightonb seems to have pretty good taste from what I can tell. And at least some of the other things he posts at least come positive ideals. Though I really don't understand the disliking of ATP to such a degree.
He generally types
some pretty good words though.
I just realised - you work for ATP don't you brightonb
Gees those ATP guys are marketing geniuses/genii(whatever the plural is). You come on here and cause a bit of contraversy with your complete lack of knowledge of ATP to keep the threads running.
Is it even possible that Jamie and brightonb are the same person?
nah
i've been known to shop in both hmv and topman so definitely not.
As much as brightonb's a bit narky
he kind of has a point - there's an ATP thread daily and they must do a good amount of business from DiSsers without having to shell out for ad money. Maybe an 'ATP announcements' sticky or something would be better.
There
is an Announcements/Classified, which IMO is where these posts should be moved to.
I have a question.
Can light escape Warren Ellis's beard?
I reckon if I was to put my hand into it, it'd appear on the other side of the world. Or Narnia. Or Red Dwarf VII.
I heard
The film 'Event Horizon' takes place in his beard
Well I heard
that the extraterrestrial in John Carpenter's remake of The Thing arrived in the Antarctic through his beard. Hopped a slow boat from Oz.
I can guarantee that
there's enough food to save Ethiopia in that beard, it is truly one of the modern horrors of the world.
Hmm I do want this
with the extra bits and bobs, might order today.
OK just ordered one
Order #201 Does that mean I have to wait an extra week for it to arrive? Will teach me to procrastinate about something I'm going to do anyway.
Damn wish I hadn't ordered now
Kust checked and I could have ordered on HMV and saved myself £5
Damn those robbing independent labels!!! More power to the multinational uber companies.
Guess it will be the most expensive poster I've ever bought.
