I'm going to rather rashly assume that it he moves to Saturday morning and replaces even a small bit of Adam & Joe, there will be an indie revolt.

Perhaps one of the greatest DJs, and most unexpectedly good. I miss Phill and his love of terrible, bizarre music, amazing, wonderful music, vinyl obsession and habit of playing 3 records at the same time. And new music on 6 music, which was always something good

I was just looking at a morrissey revuiew thrown at my Facebook and saw this - hurrah, but really most DJs are terrribly pointless and surplus to requirements. Can't we just have a robotic voice announcer tuned to 'heartbroken' on his radio voice settings?

To be fair 6 Music has been about as interesting as napkins (or serviettes)
for about 4 years now - is Liz Kershaw still embittered/on Saturday? i only listen to Radio 3 now, 'as you do'.

but 6music's worth listening to if you're ill and can't bear the Archers theme tune echoing round your addled brain or whatever (same applies to Planet Rock playlist). Or for Marc Riley, Adam and Joe, Huey Morgan on the weekend (yes it's actually good), Gideon Coe, and I think Cerys Matthews is pretty good too.

for a total of 15 hours a week! Nor is she pushed down the listener's throats with adverts and podcasts and all that shite. Nor was she brought in on a raft of John Noel agency twattery that was all hand in glove with the 6music management. Nor did she suck off Lesley Douglas for the job.

Can I express my happiness that Collings and Herrin are replacing Adam and Joe this Saturday?
I'll miss Adam and Joe of course, but this is a dream replacement after the dreadful Danny Wallace's fill ins.

Laverne taking over Lamb's slot. Personally, I'm not too ecstatic but still a move in the right direction. And Adam and Joe will be starting an hour later, which is no bad thing. More people will get to hear them on a weekend.

I used to LOVE Bacon's XFM show.

but he was pretty rubbish, not dislikeable particularly, just kind of crap.
The daytime thing doesn't affect me that much, so I'm just glad he's on the early on Saturdays.
Just means that when I get up I have time to go and get the paper and some breakfast first before settling down for some radio. Sweet times.
I also really like Richard Bacon, but the chances of me ever being in front of a digital radio between 3-5pm on a Saturday are beyond minimal.
Does that mean the end of Black Squadron then?
I never managed to get up at 9 anyway.

George Lamb on the other hand, is very annoying. Anyone that greets you with "Easy!" instead of hello or anything isn't okay in my book.
