recommend great bbc iplayer stuff. ronnie scott's, derrick may right now.
as it's the 50th anniversary of ronnie scott's, bbc 4 showed their hour long 30th anniversary documentary of the jazz club, done by john fordham. really great. type 'ronnie scott's' into iplayer search engine.
derrick may was on 6 mix for 2 hours yesterday. played a belgian tune from 1981 that sounds like it could've come from detroit now. so techno was invented in belgium, not detroit. big. 6 mix into search engine.

hudson mohawke did a mix for benji b
on sunday, interview too.
vitalic did the second hour of 6 mix this week,
banging and funny french hyping, "allez".
more frenchness-
mehdi on essential mix is brilliant, thought ed banger was meant to be rubbish now. pocket piano is especially great. love pianos in with that stuff, see also surkin white knight part 2.
there's a pretty decent
krautrock documentary. watch it.
If they ever put Soul Deep on there watch it.
"If you ain't got it, then you ain't shit. James Brown - He was the shit!".
cheers,
the krautrock doc is amazing, but gone. people need to be quick.
zinc essential mix sounded ruff in the best way.
