I haven't seen him, BUT
I've recently heard Cathedral for the first time and I like it quiiiite a lot, so I'm thinking of having a mosey on down to one of his London gigs.
I saw him/them at the Windmill in Brixton last year, kind of by accident
It was just Raymond Raposa + a girl, so I'd be interested to see what the full band is like.
The records are lovely. The whole feel and sound of them is really warm and intimate and sad.
have you heard the new one?
its fantastic. hopefully he'll be selling vinyl at the shows.

I've only got Cathedral, First Light's Freeze and In the Vines, all of which I'd recommend.

saw him upstairs in some pub in brighton
supporting dirty projectors a few years back. pretty good but not amazing.

ive loved cathedral and first light's freeze for a few years now
but none of his other albums are that great i reckon. them 2 are awesome tho

not sure how it usually works, but it sounds like a full band on record. But yeah, Lazarus is solo. Raymond Raposa will be joined by a band for Castanets.

Everyone into any Asthmatic Kitty bands should listen to Bunky. I love that band.
not heard the new record yet,
but have seen ray raposa both with a band and by himself. well worth seeing live - when playing solo there's a lot of long, feedback & loop-build to the songs (not too dissimilar to phosphorescent).

but we did also see castanets (with band) and phosphorescent (with band) at cake shop on another day :D

Oh wow - I got into Castanets this year, I picked up the album because I liked the art and fell in love with it.
Hmmm... I think I'll look into going to either London or Glasgow.
