Neil Young
I just watched that BBC2 hour documentary, very good. I knew little of NY until quite recently, that was both eye-opening musically and for me to get my head around the man himself.
His determination is admirable. I had no idea about the Geffen suing incident when he ironically made Everybody's Rockin' to piss them off after Trans, that's amazing.

It's a really good introduction I think
A good mix of archive stuff, classic songs/albums and biography. All the important events plus some less well known information. His biography 'Shakey' is a good read, it's long but it's detailed, it covers a long period but at the same depth. He's a fascinating and remarkable character.
