DJ Shadow - the Outsider
His weakest album? Just listened to Endtroducing... for the first time in ages, then went onto this. It's nowhere near.
Also, how out of place is 'You Made it' on the album?! An amazing song, but feels like it really shouldn't be there.

hands down
pretty rubbish record if you ask me
It's hard to even think that it's a DJ Shadow album
Endtroducing and Private Press are so so much better, it's hard to even comprehend how he made albums with such a wide gulf in class.
He's a shadow of his former self
I don't even acknowledge it as part of his cannon..
....so death defyingly shit is that album. In Tune and On Time is a masterclass in Shadow's best work
it was disappointing at first,
is all over the place, but good he tried different things.
turf dancing and seein' thangs are brilliant. this time, broken levee blues, triplicate/ something happened that day, triplicate part 3 and enuff all stand up well now.
prefer it to the quannum album. look forward to hearing what he does next.
