Glastonbury headliners
Does the fact that none of this year's headliners have had any major popularity in over ten years mean that the 'Noel Gallagher crowd' won in the long run?
As a Noel supporter, I was often met with the argument that "Glastonbury prides itself on booking a massive variety of acts. This is no different and shows how eclectic the festival is."
How about Eavis' comments circa 2007? Claiming to aim the festival at a younger audience? He certainly tried that last year with KoL and Jay Z.
Talk about eating your words. The combined ages of Springsteen, Young and Allbran is 164. This is hardly a line-up aimed at bringing the kids in, is it?
As for the musical variety, there's a little, but to Pitchfork people, this is one of the most 'white boys with guitars' line-ups they've had in years.
Noel Gallagher must be laughing. If anything, this has proved him right.
