Quietus Update: PJ Harvey, Erasure, Grizzly Bear & Judas Priest interviews. Etc.
Since addressing the savage folly that was \'Chisel Friday\' The Quietus has sought its stimulation in more sedate and productive ways. This has mainly revealed itself in drinking ultra strong coffee and gallons of tea from Rough Trade East. Each time a tumbler of highly caffeinated, viscous liquid, the same temperature and strength as magma on the surface of Mercury is purchased, a card is stamped and a fraction of a goat is secured for the coffee growers. After much white knuckled imbibing this week we finally secured enough caffeine points to despatch our beast, Numan The Goat Lord south towards the Cradle of Civilization. We hope you enjoy the excellent features and reviews up on The Quietus this week.

NOT TO FORGET, ON PAIN OF FINGERNAIL PULLING:
This weekend sees The Quietus stepping up to the spinning plates of sonic joy on Friday and Saturday night. On the 13th, we\'ll be DJing after Part Chimp and Todd\'s gig at the Lexington for the White Light night, and then on St. Valentine\'s rancid day, there\'s the regular Quietus Caper at the Mucky Pup in Islington where we\'ll be showcasing the best new music that we\'ll be covering on the site over the next few months.
As ever, thanks for reading,
