RTCM vs Dear Science
Having had Dear Science on fairly heavy rotation over the past couple of months, I listened to RTCM and found it quite weak in comparison. It just seemed a bit dull and overwrought. Any one else found that?
Must get that first album at some point too...
RCTM has more highlights imo
Dear Science is pretty solid but doesn't it the same highs.

I like Dear Science more as a whole but apart from Family Tree it all stays on pretty much the same lvele for me, whereas Cookie Mountain is more ups and downs.
And kissinginkansas can't have listened past the first three tracks because how can A Method or Tonight not be highlights?

In the words of Phil Collins, but seriously, I just think that every song on Dear Science is a belter, with Family Tree being almost like a balance midway through for the awesomeness either side. With RTCM while I still love Province, Wolf Like Me, and a couple others, tracks like A Method and Dirty Whirl now seem turgid in comparison. IN COMPARISON - still miles better than 98% of stuff out there.
