Music For Bookshops
I've started working in a bookshop for a couple of days a week, and I've been making come cds to play in there, but I'm running out of ideas. So far I've been mixing up some a bit of classical music with quietish folky guitary stuff - Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Kings of Convenience, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel, Mountain Goats, Fleet Foxes, Low, Nouvelle Vague, Nick Drake etc. It has to be acceptable to old people, basically, and not very loud or aggressive either. I also think anything electronic is a no-no
Any ideas for further cds?
Oh, and it's the Calder bookshop/ Bookshop Theatre, on the cut, behind waterloo. Come in and buy some books. We have all sorts!
