Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics
In my ever continuing campaign to purge myself of pirating sin, I have decided to sort through all the albums I've *cough* "borrowed" and decide whether I want to keep them (ie buy them) or get rid of them (ie delete them).
There's been some winners (most of the newly remastered Sly & Family Stone albums) and some losers (Soulwax - Any Minute Now, and Roots Manuva - Awfully Deep). It's been an experience of turbulent emotions and tough decisions. I don't expect you care.
Anyway, next up for the chop is Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics. I have to say, it has a few great tracks on it, but the rest of it is just filler - sickeningly melodramatic kareoke bollocks - which just ruins the album as a whole for me. It's a shame, because I love all their other albums.
Anyone who wants to defend this album, be my guest. Give me a good reason why I shouldn't delete this right now.
Love love,
