Why do so many seemingly sane people love Lil Wayne nowadays?
has there been an IndieKidTM meeting that i missed?

i've also noticed this
i can't take to his voice at all. i don't get it.
replace Lil Wayne with Kanye West,
and then, my friend, you have a question.
Lil Wayne is a rapper, he's quite fun.
disregarding what i think about him
he's gone beyond the levels of indie love that a quite fun rapper would get, I mean he is no 2 in NME's list of exciting americans and is being played in commercial indie clubs that play no other black music
the lil' dude is a
good rapper. best album of career so far. first good comercial rap album in fucking years.
ok
but people who don't listen to commercial rap are listening to him, he isn't so great that he will change people's minds on a distinctly un-indie genre.
Increased publicity + new album out
+ decent back catalogue + he's a pretty great/charismatic rapper. That do?
fuck knows. utter tripe
I’ll tell you why
cause he’s a Pitchfork darling and Pitchfork darlings get way too much cred – indie or otherwise. This could be a why do so many people like Vampire Weekend. I don’t get them either.
Oh I didn't know that
that'll probably be it then, thanks
Lil' Wayne is in Vampire Weekend
and Fleet Foxes...
He is also the dad and mum of next weeks hot pitchfork ting
I'm not very sane
but I like him quite a bit after thinking I would hate him alot I gave the album tha carter III a punt and it ha grown on me alot. He is wicked, not all of it some is cheesey throw away shite hehe
