yup, my taste in music is actually pretty MOR and unadventurous
p.s. this isn't an invitation to list yours. Just look at mine, yeah?

my favourite bit
was the cough
nice
you must be very bored!
No Stones or Beatles.
Next.
never heard a Stones or Beatles record
sorry!
^
this
whaaaat!!!
the beatles??
i've never heard one in full
my ex housemate used to play them fairly often, but he was a skipper
arn't you slightly curious what all
the who-ha is about?
occasionally
but it passes
There were two Scott Walkers in there ...
... cos of the schizophrenia, right ?
Terrific list, though, I'd do my own version but I fear it would end in a fist fight with myself over whether to include Revolver or the White Album (they're both by The Beatles btw)
duh
go with Abeee Rode.
I'm always having this argument with my sister.
In fact, are you my sister ?
No but he's clearly wrong.
So are you. They peaked in 1967! Everything post-then isn't as good!
Who cares
we're allowed to not be bothered about them aren't we? I know I am.
hahaha
heroicly annoying
did you cough because there's 2 scott walker?
yeah
i couldn't resist
frustrating
i want to do mine.
to be honest
the end result was strangely unsatisfying. I think it's just a bit boring and predictable, probably because i know all the albums far too well

That's possibly the most 'indie' list I've ever read.
I couldnt trust
my last fm list as the majority of music i listen to on CD rather than on my PC.
Not sure i can quite be bothered to type up 100 albums though!
thats got to be, like
a gazillion hours.
Hooray - you've got Mountain Goats at the top!
but... personally I think 'Get Lonely' is their weakest album. Could just be me.
ThingsThatFly
recommend me three off your list that I need and tell me why.
did you ever listen to muslimgauze douchebag
remember when the Violent Femmes were on sabrina the teenage witch
violent femmes <3
sabrina <3
i never did, no
because i'm a terrible person
but VF on Sabrina was the greatest/most embarrassing moment ever. I knew they were pretty big, but Sabrina big? Perhaps Melissa Joan Hart put in a special request
sabrina was well indie
she went to see smashing pumpkins in one episode, and snuck out the house on her vacuum to the soundtrack of 'tonight tonight'
remember she had 10,000 maniacs play her living room as well
that other chick her nemesis was rly jealous
you should listen to muslimgauze one day
http://www.last.fm/music/Muslimgauze
*libby chestler
remember harvey
he was pretty buff, huh
remember when coach told him he had to bulk up so he used to go on about how he was 'carboloading'
aye and he was drinking all those grotty milkshakes?
remember when sabrina made the date out of man dough? remember when she made harvey dance? remember when everyone thought he was an ace dancer, but it was actually the most cringeworthy thing ever?
i dont i was probably too dazzled by his jawline tbh
dont you think salem was awesome
salem saberhagen
http://www.starman-imaging.com/mar05/stwnayn479a.jpg
maybe i will
maybe i will
not now though
that monks record is pretty cool, huh
i was told white trousered cocaine smugglers like steely dan, is this a lie
pretty damn cool, yeah
just like the Dan. You don't need to wear white trousers/smuggle cocaine to like them, but it definitely helps (i speak from experience)
have you read that book about the monks that the drummer wrote
i wanna read it but its rly expensive
have you heard tom ze, he did toured with tortoise once
http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/tomze/articles/story/5920730/tom_ze_with_tortoise
ott review but you get the idea
been meaning to check out Tom Ze
he's another one on my endlessly growing list of "people to check out". And as you're well aware, i do like a bit of latin
he really great
estudando o samba and estudando o pagode are both great - the samba one is from the 70s though and pagode was a coupla years ago and a bit more 'dense' but those two are pretty approachable, his self titled one is good as well but not as easy to track down, some of the other albums are 'post modern experiments' and might be a bit inscrutable if you didnt know anything about him or speak portuguese so idk
this is a one of his 'classics'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8vYTqqKwRw
Some good choices
there needs to be more love for 'X', naming bands was so much easier before the days of google.
Los Angeles is a seriously badass record
Exene and John Doe's vocals are SERIOUSLY BADASS
Wot No Radiohead?
meh
nice, but i wouldn't want to live there
:'(
i dunno how
mine would look like but it'll definitely feature 'Self Made Maps' somewhere in the top 10 region
Don't lie
You don't like music.
busted
i will try and listen to each of these
what i haven't yet.
THANKS
wouldn't bother
most of them are pretty shit
no pinkerton :(
otherwise that's fairly similar to mine in probably about 3 years time when I've discovered loads of the amazing music there is to discover.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBbuPnfG0Vo
also well know post-beat poet
the guy who had the tape recorder at Max's Kansas City for the VU crash gig
Backhand, topspin, back left court:
The Stranglers - Aural Sculpture - indeed you do
Nirvana - In Utero - N/A
Nick Cave - Henry's Drea- I chose it for sentimentals
Einsturezende Neubauten - Silence Is Sexy - yes, it's got songs- plug into this band will ya, I'm not foolin.
Magnetic Fields - Distortion - N/A
Lemon Heads - It's A Shame About Ray - first songs I learnt all the way through on guitar- Yah!
Captain Beefheart - Shiny Beast/ Bat Chain Puller - Not r/b more like inside out delta blues meets Plan 9 From Outer Space
The Grateful Dead - American Beauty - You might like early dead up to American Beauty. I liked American Beauty and Working Man's Dead cause it was long haired cowboy music- good in Montana. Early dead was R/B/Pshycedelic. Later Dead was Dead Shit.
New Riders Of The Purple Sage - S/T- If Cowboy Junkies really were Junkies or Cowboys; they'd be NRPS!
The Cars - S/T - agreed- it was all downhill from here.
Crispin Glover - The Big Problem - Leathal Weapon?
Tool - Aenima - Just take LSD and get on with your bad self.
Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind - No to Bob or no to this? If this: "Highlands" 17 minutes of a beautiful man on the loose.
Mountain - Nantucket Slieghride - Mountain was the blueprint for "souther rock". Southern Rock is the evil, stupid bastard son of Montain. Mountain: Leslie West on guitar, Felix Papalardi on Bass, Corky Lang on Drums, Keyboardist's name escapes me. I loved Mountain when I was a kid. Ringo Starr and his son Zachary love the song "Nantucket Slieghride" when Zach was little.
Gorecki - 3rd - have a cryin hanky ready.
Secret Machines - Now This Is Nowhere - Have you tried "First Wave Down" at HIGH volume?
Swans - Love Of Life - This, "White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity" and "Soundtracks For The Blind" are my personal favorites. I won't be shocked if you like them- not many do.
The Beatles - Sgt Peppers- First album I listend to w/ Stereo Headphones- almost creamed.
Television - Marquee Moon - THE Best Two Guitar Band Ever! Romance, intrigue, screwy vocalist and solid rhythm. And they were just kids- which always shocks me when I listen to it.
Patti Smith - Horses - I actuall like "Easter" better but I love her will. She's not that great but she was determined to make music. "Horses" and "Gloria" are pretty shocking.
Jeff Buckle - Grace - I can't help you
The Replacements - Please To Meet Me - The first album about being in a band that actually made sense. "Can't Hardly Wait" is the most glorious pop song ever put out by white boys from Minnesota.
Pixies - Surfer Rosa - What a marvel
Lou Reed - Coney Island Baby - Up Your's Pal! ps. get it and if you don't f-in love it I'll mail you $100.
Coil - Black Light District - I don't even own this anymore, haven't heard it in years. John Balance is incredible- I am going to invest lots of money in collecting the whole catalog.
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking - How could "Summer Time Rolls" be terrible? It's a musical orgasm.
Echo And The Bunnymen - Heaven Up Here - Not Shit! Will Sargeant is the most underrated British Guitarist of all time. Ian is like an non self abusive English Jim Morrison- Brilliant Band- you are fucked on this one.
Link Wray - Rumble - It is a comp.- run boy run! Buy it!
The Doors - Morrison Hotel - I don't quibble about the Doors.
The Who - Who's Next - An album which asks the question: Who shall pee on a concrete monolith next rules in my book.
Led Zeppelin - lll - This album (and Tommy) showed everyone that acoustic could be really cool and rockin. Every acoustic rocker since LZ lll should send Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones tribute checks.
Opeth - Blackwater Park - Michael Akerfeldt may be the next Beethoven.
Neu! - S/T - I love the economy of this- inspirational stuff.
The Residents - The Commercial Album - Best Concept in the history of music. The Residents (understandably) didn't get played on the radio so they wrote 40 one minute songs and bought commercial air time on San Fransisco AM stations and played the songs- Brilliant- good songs too.
The Rolling Stones - Through The Past Darkly - The first release after Brian died, it's just a capsule of what they were before they pulled the stops out.
Joni Mitchell - Don Juans Reckless Daughter - Joni goes uncommercial Jazz goddess - Jaco Pastorius too.
CSN&Y - Deja Vu - The ultimate Hippie Album before Charles Manson showed us that "Hippie" was just another phony marketing scam.
Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die - Not funk rock, "Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys" was that. Just get it . Buy all Traffic, soon.
Bauhaus - In The Flat Field - Nothing epitomizes Gothic like Bauhaus and true to their name- form follows function - just bones and metal . Daniel Ash's guitar is amazing, Perer Murphy is so urban and his lovely, prickly diction- like wow! David J and Kevin were a pretty straight forward rhythm section- cool though. Bela Lagosi's Dead actually is a great disco song- I played the shit out of it in the day.
Minutemen - Buzz Or Howl Under The Influence Of Heat - It's not Double Nickles but it is more the essence of Minutemen - Beat Punk Supreme.
The Talking Heads 77 - Think about it, what says Talking Heads more than "Psyco Killer", "Uh-Oh Love Comes To Town", "New Feeling", "Who Is It?", "Pulled Up", "The Book I Read", "Don't Worry About The Government". 77 and More Songs About Building And Food are the essential Talking Heads; everything subsequent became more and more all about David Byrne- not a bad thing but not Talking Heads.
Wolfmother - S/T - It's gonna take more than Mike Patton to put this genie back in the bottle - you probably haven't even heard the album, so you'd rather take Mike Patton's say so over mine= I see how you are. Did you see the other vid entitled "Jealous Prick Disrespects Wolfmother"? Same clip, different title- this one works for me and I love Mike Patton but he is getting too old to hang on anymore- bye. He's a shit dresser too from day one.
Liars - Drum's Not Dead - A wink is a good as a nod- Maybe? You don't own this one do you? Better get with the program- life's passing you by.
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights - Yah? Surely you mean YAH!!!
English Beat - I Just Can't Stop It - This is a great Party Record + the record that has "Mirror In The Bathroom" on it should be on every Users list. English Beat, The Specials and UB-40 make a house a home.
Backhand, topspin, back left court cont.
Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story - The reason I picked this one is cause Rod Stewart is the greatest singer ever to emerge from Great Britain but if I saw him on the street I'd kick him in the balls cause he completely squanderd his gift- except for this album- that's why.
Backhand, topspin, back left court: further cont.
David Bowie - Diamond Dogs - I have kissed David Bowie so I get to choose what the hell ever Bowie album I want.
Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure - Check out "In Every Dream Home A Heartache.
Elvis Costello And The Attractions - Armed Forces - A furious spate of genius songwriting.
Roy Orbison - Super Hits - Knee jerk on this one.
Nancy Sinatra - The Hit Years - Back when there were such things as Hits. "These Boots Are Made For Walkin" - game over.
Lee Hazelwood - Cowboy In Sweden - This is so interesting cause when Hazelwood made music he actually tried to write "Hits" and then to compare that with what he came up with. And that voice.
T Rex - The Slider - "Ballrooms Of Mars" Yaaaaa
Sun Ra - Purple Night - Mad Genius of Jazz- I guess. Listen to "Nuclear War" - "Nuclear war, it's a motherfucker."
Ramsey Lewis - Sungoddess - Get it- It is the birth of Disco. Ramsey Lewis is Keyboardist/composer/arranger. (1973) I think.
The Band S/T - Kind of patronizing to Americana in a way but what a band - any one of them could take the show away. Love Garth Hudson's Keyboards.
Fantomas - Director's Cut - First Off: Musicianship. The playing on this record is phenomenal and look at what you got, Mike Patton: Vox, Dave from Slayer on Drums, Buzz Osbourne on Guitar and some guy on bass. Second: Concept. The idea that music usually taken for granted merely because it is a TV or movie theme song and then kind of celebrating it in a balls to the wall faghion is delicious to me. At there gigs the do "bumper tunes" between Fantomas material such as those found on Director's Cut + Video Game music covers too.
King Krimson - Red - You are right "In The Court Of The Krimson King" is loads better than "Red" , I amend.
Weather Report - I agree with you on this too.
The Cure - Disintegration - It's only depressing if you listen to the words.
Billie Holiday - She was a great jazz singer- get some.
Pink Floyd - Ummagumma - Really. It's a great album- double album. One Live and one studio. If you like experimental rock you should get it. The cd reissue comes with a neato poster- a classic.
Fuck Buttons - Street Horrrsing - I know they're friend of yours so I'll assume "Weeeeeeee" means good.
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bullocks - I owe my love for this to Twee Loser and his "oh shit, I forgot to love the Ses Pistols" thread. It really is a bit of a phenom.
Deerhunter - Cryptograms - Yup
No Age - Weirdo Rippers - Let me send you a free copy, I have some promos.
The Saints - All Fools Day - Just a great listen for hard, hard times. All Saints records are worth having- even their shitty ones.
Jim Carrol - He is an Uptown Manhattan Post-Beat poet who occasionally shifts into singer songwriter mode. He wrote "The Basketball Diaries", he has the most amazing New York accent in history and I think he is a Saint. Everyone (who's old enough) in this country claims they knew where they were when they heard the news of John Kennedy's assassination- Carroll claims he was in his Mom's bathroom beating off with a piece of veal and a picture from time magazine of Barbara Striesand when his Mom burst in to give him the horrible news. "Oh my god Jim, President Kennedy has just been shot!" "Oh my god Jim, what are you doing and is that my veal? - he is a star.
My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans - You probably weren't aware that the best deathmetal band in history is from Yorkshire.
Beck - Mellow Gold - OK, onward.
The Velvet Underground and Nico - N/A
Yes - Close To The Edge - Great Musicianship- Great glorious tunes full of hope.
The Stooges - Funhouse - What I had to go through to get a copy of this in 1980.
Snakefinger - Greener Postures - AKA Phillip Lithman, born 1949 in Tooting (there's a place called Tooting?) South London. Best known for his quirky and brilliant guitar work with The Residents. Greener Postures is one of his solo records produced by The Residents. God, what a guitarist. They called him "Snakefinger" cause when he played violyn his little finger on his bowing hand did little serpentine dances (seemingly independent for the rest of his body) hence "Snakefingah"! Quirky album but I love it.
R.E.M. - Murmur - This and the Smiths debut are all I listened to for a whole year so they gotta be here.
The Smiths - S/T *see R.E.M.
Raymond Scott - Reckless Nights And Turkish Twilights - I want this to be a suprise. It's difficult to imagine what kind of mind comes up with music as amazing as this.
Soul Coughing - Ruby Vroom - REALLLLLY.
Love - Da Capo - No
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland - Are You Experienced? has always been my favorite but this one was Jimi's favorite so I'll go with that.
Thanks for hitting that over the net to me.
You don't HAVE to hit it back.
If you don't want or can't- HA!
all the "backhand, topspins" are replys to alcxxk's evaluation of my list
so it helps to open two windows and read across.
Thanks again alcxxk for taking the time.
: )
is that the best link wray thing to start with
I don't know what "albums" per se are out there
"Rumble" is just a comp. put out by Rhino I think. But I got into him back in the early eighties via a cool rock a billy singer named Robert Gordon. Gordon brought the legendary axman out of retirement to play on some of his own albums. Just get whatever you can find- Robert Gordon too.
cool
i came across a buncha them a while ago but didnt bother coz i didnt know who he was but have since looked him up and regretted not taking the opportunity
however i may go look out da capo from somewhere now ive been reminded ive never heard it
i'll work through listening a bunch of this and will let you know what grabs me :)
cheers
I'll think of some more urgent listens in the mean time.
this stranglers album is ok
slightly uninspiring tho. good stuff, but nothing special to me. quite slick.
I love all Stranglers
and every record has real good and real bad on it but that's just the way she goes.
Great Live Band!
solid motherfuckin list
cheers for Angelo Badalamenti!
This ^ for Herr. Douchebag
: 0
good list dude
GOOOD LIIIIST
thanks!
: )
yeah
i prefer da capo to forever changes too.
douchebag
says it all
I salute you.
Good call on Standards, In A Silent Way (my favourite Miles album) and Future Days (my favourite Can album). Also kudos for X, Pere Ubu and The Meters.
I don't know Gentleman, I'd probably go for Expensive Shit or Coffin For Head of State.
Solid.
Well done.
I want to do this
But I've never found the time to sit down and work it out. I like the one album per artist rule, and I think you're allowed at least one exception. Just might have to re-think what I'm doing on Sunday!
I don't own
any of those 100 albums. Am tempted by my own 100 list, but I should probably go outside instead.
Why Stooges - Raw Power on all these lists?
Funhouse is the best Stooges album by a long way. It's a basic block of your music listening. You should know that
Whhoops! I meant "Fun House"
I really was thinking "Fun House" -
Stop the merry-go-round, I wanna get off and put on FUN HOUSE!!!!!
m just going to chime inwith some opinions
just for the sake of its:
ABC - Lexicon of Love - NEED to hear this
Bjork - Medulla - i agree. s'my favourite b-jork too
Brian Eno - Another Green World - agree
David Bowie - Low - obvz
Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo - obvz
El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead - is it really better than the other?
GZA - Liquid Swords - dont care for this
John Cale - Paris 1919 - need to give this more listens. dont feel the love yet
Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man - i need a leonard cohen starting point a lot, so yay
Love - Forever Changes - super obvz
Minutemen - Double Nickels On The Dime - super turbo onvz
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - From Her To Eternity - will give a good listen
Pere Ubu - Dub Housing - need
Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R - triple turbo super obvz
Roots Manuva - Brand New Second Hand - really better than run come save me?
Roxy Music - Stranded - this isn the standard roxy album to list is it?
Scott Walker - Scott 2
Scott Walker - Tilt TWO BY THE SAME ARTIST
Sleep - Dopesmoker - need
Slint - Spiderland - gai
Squarepusher - Go Plastic - sassy. i agree that this is better than ultravisitor
Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden - need
The Birthday Party - Hits - OMG GREATEST HITS?!???!?!?!??!!
The Clash - Sandinista! - you renegade
The Knife - Silent Shout - obvzzzzzzzz
The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat - got this on vinyl a few weeks ago. this is irrelevant. OBVZ
Van Halen - I - o rly?
(obvz isnt a bad thing)
stranded is the one that brian eno is said to think is best
its rly good
Now me, do me, me me me alcxxk
I'm next
done :(
Then you sing me something and I'll do you.
: )
there are a lot of obvz in my list
maybe my music taste is a bit uninteresting, maybe they just are That Good. It probably has something to do with the times i discovered them, so the more canonised stuff came earlier and had more of an effect on me so holds a stronger place in my heart. But when you're putting together a list like this there's no way you're missing out Forever Changes or Astral Weeks or Low
Regarding your points:
El-P - FanDam is brilliant of course, and perhaps better in the beats/production department. But ISWYD is vocally much stronger, and lyrically far more focussed and well rounded and powerful. In fact, lyrically it might be my favourite rap album ever
GZA - honestly, if any had to go this would be one of the first. A lot of brilliant stuff mixed together, but as an album i'm not totally in love. Perhaps a bit monochrome, and the one major variation (B.I.B.L.E.) is just a bit rubbish. The whole thing is lyrically outstanding though
In other news: not really heard Run Come Save Me but yes, yes it is. Stranded has the greatest vocal performances from Ferry and is a lot more relaxed and natural, free of some of BrEnos avant garde shoehorning. The Birthday Party are allowed a greatest Hits album becuase i say so - it's where i fell in love with them and charts their progression perfectly (chronological Greatest Hits ftw). Sandinista! is the Clash album i always want to listen to. Van Halen I isn't the classiest album ever, but it is life affirmingly joyous. I'm Your Man is wonderful, but contains some of the cheesiest 80s midi production you're likely to hear - maybe one of his earlier albums would be a better starting point. And finally, Scott Walker gets 2 because you just can't choose one of pop/avant garde Scott Walker - both need to be represented
and yeah, i probably prefer a lot of the other stuff to this stuff
oh by obvz i just meant "i completely agree - this is incredible"
i've been put off leonard cohen albums by the arrangements and production before tho..
but thanks!
you are all so
neeky
but
I will check out some of the albums you have mentioned
tom waits
rain dogs is totally good.
David Bowie
Nice name drop :p (watch grandmas boy)
Herr. Douchebag
What three off your list do I needs?
tell me what's the word- from Johanesburg?
forgot to tell you I saw Gil Scott Heron in Chicago in the mid seventies. Great show, he was kind of legendary - to me that show was like a political rally with awesome jazz music. Have you read any of his books? I always thought he'd go into politics but I guess he was too outspoken- a great voice for truth, justice and the American way- if you would just listen. Back when I saw him I had a black roomate who didn't want to go see Gil Scott with me cause he thought Heron was too radical to be taken seriously. I think it would be interesting to find out what's going through his mind these days- whoops, (just wiki'd him) I guess he is in jail for cocaine possession- bummer.
I was just listening to Gil Scott-Heron.
How odd.
This was interesting (from the wiki page) "Scott-Heron's father, Giles "Gil" Heron (nicknamed "The Black Arrow") was a Jamaican football player who, in the 1950s, was the first ever black player to play for Glasgow's Celtic Football Club."
small world
Gil Scott was an amazing social thinker though- I think.
yeah really
pretty strange
Circle takes the Square 'As the Roots Undo'
and 99 other ones.
Is this the best a British English professor can muster?
: )
Professor???
I wish. Actually, no I don't.
get busy ass wipe
list us!
Will anybody read it though?
I barely have the stamina to get through a list of 10 albums, 100 albums? Fuck.
Anyway I preferred 'professor' to 'ass wipe' by the way.
To Sir With Love,
ahhhh.
Professor, sorry for the gross breach o decorum there.
I get squirly sometimes.
Forgive?
Have you heard about "The Kilo List" (in the planning phase but coming soon)?
PS, I'll read it.
That's worth the doing I'd say.
I have not heard about 'the kilo list'
but I suspect it involves a thousand of something.
Well I'm sure I'll find the time to waste at some point soon.
That whole Professor to Asswipe thing
reminds me of Monty Python's "Eddie Baby" sketch. Where an interviewer starts of addressing his guest as "Sir Edward" and winds up calling him "Angel Drawers" and "Sugar Pants" - god it is a SCREAM!
reminds me of the two old guys on the balcony
in the muppets
'it was great!'
'I loved it!'
'There were bits of it, I didn't much care for'
'Boo! Boo!'
KID A?
number 1 defo.

does a comuter pick for Last FM?
this is a Joke ........^
It actually makes my list look like gospel.
listening to Big Star
ok, not great. sure it could mean a lot to me if i heard it at the right time. today is not.
listening to twin peaks
i knew this was good, but this is way way better than i remembered/imagined. really well produced too. sick.
that axelrod album was nice like
i reckon it's pretty nice too
but pretty creepy in places as well. The best way to listen to it is directly after the prior album, Song of Innocence, as if it were one record.
Axelrod ticks a lot of my boxes: orchestrated jazz with a tightly choreographed structure and a dark, sexy undercurrent (as well some heavy grooves) - he's a bit of a one trick pony i suppose, but it's a mighty fine (and fairly unique) trick
well played though Alcxxk. I'm glad someone is making use of my wasted time
im on big l now
i have no idea why i've never heard of him. this is very very decent
Big L is great
my only issue with that record is how much better Big L is than all the guest rappers. I guess they never had a chance..
i noticed a fat sounding chap earlier
pretty shouty. i quite liked him
yeah, they're all pretty shouty..
god Jay Z sounds so different
young and shouty
thems were the days
Isn't Axelrod sampled a lot?
Is this the best place to start?
yeah he's sampled plenty, the prototype hip hop beat and all that
i'd say get this one and Song of Innocence together, his first two records and both really brilliant.
I've left school
I have too much time on my hands. Kudos to douchebag and rue_the_day for giving me another 100 albums to check out. Here are my favourites:
