... why was their gig so good?

Ricky Wilson = amazing front man, nice crowd pleaser(he gave out hugs, and didn't mind when the crowd nearly strangled him to death by grabbing on to the tie)

The gig was definately helped by the great atmosphere and the fact that it was the last night of their current tour. Also the band let the crowd join them on stage (i say let but once the cribs suggested it there was no stopping people)

Meh was such a great night, now have gained alot more respect for the band!

Anyone else been shocked by how good they were live?

Havent seen them myself, but i had a friend who told me she was shocked by just how bad they were.

Still each to their own i guess...

I saw them live and really enjoyed the first half. A great party atmosphere. This is brainless, but hellish fun pop music all you cynics! The send half of the live show faded though!

T'Chiefs are a cracking little pop band and Ricky Wilson is a star. He has the energy of a young Damon Albarn without the annoying pretentiousness that makes you want to punch him. And he's dead funny to boot.

I saw them back in feb and they were pretty good, I enjoyed it.

I'm seriously bored of the kaiser cheifs now, I used to like them, they're fun. But, t'was a passing fancy. NEXT.

  i don't know what it is about the kaiser chiefs that seems to get so many people's goats. i mean, they're not my cup of tea at all, but when i saw them (free ticket, dragged along by mate) i actually thought they were really good. the singer has real charisma without being an arrogant wanker, and again, while i don't like their music, they were really energetic and tight as fuck.

    They just arent very good,a pastiche of blur/madness and worse than that they are hailed as something great and new and the best thing since sliced bread.Which clearly they are not.They seem like nice guys but I just dont like them, Its just my opinion I havent seen them nor do I wish to.As for teh bravery yeah they are an awful pastiche too.

      I loved them! I was unexcited when I got there but it took them about 5 seconds to win me over once they started playing they're just fantastic live. Totally brilliant, so energetic and endearing and fucking happy. I lobed it!

        I always find this expression funny. Cause knives were invented back then yes?, so it's not as if you couldn't cut your bread loaf by yourself.
        
        And i like the song na na na na naaa by kaiser cheifs cause its funny. Also, i like everyday i love you less and less. perhaps it's wank, but i like it.

        They have good catchy tunes, put on a great live show and don't take themselves too seriously. Three things a lot of upcoming bands don't have.

      No more REVIVALS please! I think its that most A&R are about 28 and want to relive their bland student years by signing up sub Shed 7 bands - am sure if I was an A&R person and I was coked up to my Rick Witter fringe I'd do the same!!!!

        apart from the fact all of their lyrics sound like a regurgitated version of a rhyming dictionary and they seem to screech more than is needed...nah...still not that great.
