whiskeytown vs ryan adams
right, i got into Heartbreaker then Gold at first. then went backwards to Whiskeytown - i then promptly fell out of love with Ryan solo and only listened to (the first two) Whiskeytown albums: principally, because i think Ethan Johns' (production) ruined his solo work (much as in the same way his glossy over production ruins Ray Lamontagne). My favourite stuff of his is the unreleased Whiskeytown bootlegs: Forever Valentine/Fucker demos; Those Weren't The Days & Bsides/Rarities - rougher cuts, as Ryan should be heard imo. Anyway, my point from this ramble is...... can anyone recommend post-Love Is Hell Ryan bootlegs that might make me reassess Ryan solo. and would anyone like to trade some boots for the above Whiskeytown ? (the old fashion way of cd-r's in the post). pm me.
