Ryan Adams
Do you think he's peaked by now?
I've just let Love Is Hell re-enter my life, and so I won't stop listening to it for the next few weeks.
But then I stick a couple of tracks from Easy Tiger on, and they seem so weak.
According to Wikipedia, he's just got out of a massive drug abuse stretch. You can tell in this latest record that he's much less away with the fairies, both lyric and music-wise.
Concerning his future releases, I think it might actually be a bad thing. I think the ones that sound like they're written by a lunatic are his best by far (29 and LIH). If everything's gonna be in this Radio 2 vein in future, I think he'll lose scores of fans.
Obviously, though, its better for his health, and since I love him, I hope he's healthy and well and continues to be. It will also be better for his live performances, as anyone will know who's been let down by his bad excuses at entertainment.
What do you think?
