EATS TAPES
Eats Tapes are the Tigerbeat 6 duo of Gregory Zifcak and Marijke Jorritsma, who build and modify their own synths, toys and drum machines. They've brought their off-the-hinges techno experimentations to the UTR stage twice before and we can safely say that their live show is not for disco purists or the faint-hearted. High-octane analogue beats compete with plenty of feedback and, naturally, cassette tape manipulations, breathing life back into the acid-fuelled heart of dance music.

HEALTH
A quartet from Los Angeles, Health take inspiration from 60's British pop, Krautrock, gamelan, noise and minimalism, creating some of the crunkiest free rock around. Following various releases for the likes of DNT and Lovepump United, two split vinly releases with Crystal Castles and Eye Hai will hit stores over the summer on UK-based labels Trouble and Golden Lab respectively.

DAN DEACON
Absurdist composer and electronic musician, Dan Deacon, is based in Baltimore, Maryland. Musically influenced by Devo, Talking Heads, Scratch Orchestra, People Like Us, Raymond Scott and Conlon Nancarrow, Dan's music strives to take modern experimental composition and electronic music out of the circle of the esoteric intellectual gangs and hipster communities, placing it into the more informal "fun time". His new album 'Spiderman of the Rings' (Carpark / Wildfire Wildfire) is his first to bridge the gap between party performer and genuine composer.

EYE HAI
i had an inkling is a band, originally from Manchester, that has been playing together in various guises since 2003. The three current members of EYE HAI have settled on Leeds as their creative base and it's from there that they currently write and record their whacked-out, aggressive math-rock/post-punk-prog melange and hook-laden, agit-pop. Often compared to the likes of The Magic Band, Red Crayola and The Minutemen, they are continually in pursuit of undanceable dance rhythms

PRE
PRE is down making the noise jump. PRE knows sound moves quicker in high pressure and PRE is five moonlit faces chopping up the moonlight into strobelight. Guitar, two bass, drum and moon shriek - Akiko Matsuura, John Webb, Rick Bennett, Matt Warburton and Kevin Hendrick fuck up the shit.
