  • Be Warned Praxis Tent Hire (PraxisTent)

There are many honourable companies out there and then there are those who set themselves out to rip off customers at every turn. Sadly in the case of Praxis it feels like the latter. They tempt you with early booking offers, which are available for a surprisingly short period of time, so that when you decide to take up the offer after a few days - guess what it's disappeared! Then if you have to cancel your booking, for example due to ill health, they won't refund the hefty Booking Fee of £50 "which will be retained in respect of the administrative cost of the booking process." If that happened, I suspect a court would regard that level of fee to be out of proportion to the true cost of administration and would regard it as an "Unfair Terms and Condition" under the Sale of Goods Act. You have been warned!

  • Be Warned Praxis Tent Hire

Hi, Can I ask you one question? Did you read the "Booking Conditions" on the Praxis Site? Companies are out there to provide a service and not rip people off. They are also hard working people just trying to make ends meet. The Booking Conditions are very clear on this site and I think you should retract your incorrect comments.

  • I was a guest and ended up helping out - LOTS

There were many problems with the site, unfortuntely and currently unbeknownst to many of the people who stayed on the site, the main people who were meant to be dealing with the organisation got rushed to hospital on the Tueday before the festival as their faces swelled up. This left Peter Calcraft on the front line dealing with people booking in and with complaints and knowing absolutely nothing about Glastonbury! I helped out a lot while I was there and tried to make everything run a bit smoother and put smiles on peoples faces. Despite all of this I received a LOT of abuse from people staying on the site who didn't really have a clue about respect and were having tantrums because they couldn't have a daily shower and they sometimes had to queue. Well of course you have to queue in the mornings, everyone wants to use them! I probably did get on my high horse a bit too much but when you spend the whole of your first day cheerleading for a charity footie match to raise money for Water Aid it does become quite a big deal to you! Watch their videos, visit the website it really is that sad and the fact that you can't get a shower right this second really isn't the end of the world, be grateful you can shower at all, some haven't got the water to drink! Princess complex definitely kicked in for a few people and I'm sure half of them couldn't name the charities Glastonbury was raising money for!

Anyway, I ended up staying on a bit longer in the festival and thanks to a comedy of errors I didn’t get back to pick up a few bits I left in the catering tent. My things were all together and it was perfectly obvious they were mine, it included a number of festival memorabilia items, my house keys, my gorgeous jacket given to me by the Twat in a Hat stall, charity goodies, a cooler bag, I think my iPod and a whole load of other stuff. Do you know what Praxistent did with it all? Threw it in the bin.
Thanks Peter and everyone at Praxistent, after everything I did to help I think that was just a little bit disrespectful. You didn't even leave me a voicemail to see if you could look after it for a while. I tried to defend you to the other people staying at the site, I tried to help you as much as I could so you wouldn’t receive too much grief from other guests, but now I'm just angry. I hope Praxistent don't get anywhere near that site next year, I could run that a million times better and pay more attention to health and safety while having the whole site put up and managed by a troup of Girl Guides. They would get to have fun and learn and guests would get a thoroughly enjoyable and amazingly efficient stay. Did I mention my mum's a Girl Guide leader and taught me everything I know? lol.

I intend on writing up a report on the site and make recommendations for next year to the Glastonbury office, I can do so quite easily as I found all of the official contacts for the office including mobile numbers and email addresses. These were dumped at Jazz World after the festival was over along with a power impact driver and a whole host of other tools and left overnight for anyone on site to find, luckily I found them and will be responsible with them all! That however is part of a longer story for another day.

I've had quite a busy experience over the last 2 weeks helping many many people all over the festival and I'm only just winding down. I only left the site on the 5th July as I was finding out how the site gets cleared up and the conditions for the workers on litter pick.

There are many things I wasn’t happy about this year to do with the Praxistent site and also for the main Glastonbury site itself which if they’re not changed I won’t return next year. And that’s sad to say about a festival I previously thought stood for a lot. Guess I’ll see how I get on! If I don’t get very far I say we should start a love riot.

    Lots of Love

This isn't the last you'll hear from me! xx

  • Guest helping out...

You sound as if you were a real trouper Jen...How do you know it was Praxis that was responsible for you losing your belongings...could have been anyone of the staff who didn't give a damn about the belongings. At such a large event all companies have to hire helpers at short notice. Being a newby to the Festival this year they certainly must have been a bit green and you will see that they were a late addition to accommodation at the event (not sure how that came about) but they didn't have much time to do their homework. You are right about whiners who complain about queues, queues are always expected at such a large event and really it is not Praxistents fault if the company hired to supply these facilities, failed them. As you said it seems as though Peter Calcraft didn't know enough (not nothing) about the event and I'm sure given a chance to perform better next year, would ensure a much more pleasant and professional set up (with this years experience). Could I also suggest you search the net for previously good reviews from other events that PraxisTents have attended and perhaps not to such a big scale but i have read alot of positive reviews regarding these events. C'mon everyone deserves a second chance! Well done to you regardless for sticking it out and helping out...maybe you could elect to help PraxisTent next time and run the show to ship shape. You and your girl guides, could name your price. LOL Cya

  • I know they threw my things away as I called Peter, he said they threw it away and when I told him that I thought it was really disrespectful considering all the help I offered them he hung up on me! That's not the way to deal with things!

I tried everything I could to ease the pressure from Peter as I didn't want to see him ripped apart by the guests, I sympathised with the fact that they hadn't done a festival before let alone jumping straight in with Glastonbury. The place was a complete shambles, the tents hadn't all been set up by the time everyone was arriving, they were in no order and people were wandering round for a while trying to find their tent, they then found that their equipment wasn't there.

I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt but Praxistent really messed up here. I know that people are calling and emailing at the moment and not receiving any feedback - and that's just really poor customer service.

  • PraxisTents at Glastonbury

Didn't seem that bad to me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the PraxisTent site and the Festival. Sure there were some hiccups, there always are at events of such size. But guess what? I'll be booking again. Hope to see you there next year PraxisTents.

  • praxistent

We stayed with praxis and had a fab time the tent was great and the staff very friendly at what myust have been a very hectic time for them with the long hours and family problems that they encountered. The toliets and showers were great for a festuval and we went at the rught time to avoid the queues. Were u actually employed by them then ???? Did peter know it was your case ?? can see that they must have had a hard job organising for a festival esp glastonbury and the first year is never without hiccups so think we should be saying well done praxis and not slating them will deffo be booking again next year !!!!

  • I'm so glad you guys signed up just to share your positive experience of Praxistents with us

It's really good to hear the other side of the story from genuinely happy customers.

  • Two Sides to every story

Remember, there are two sides to every story.
Happy to have signed up...actually enjoy other features of the site. Well done Drowned in Sound.

  • Never heard the like of it!!

Here here Sianipops, we agree wholeheartedly!!

Honestly people (Jenni et al) you are ridiculous!!! I have never had the displeasure to come across a more unpleasable band of people than yourselves!!
I have attended many many many festivals in the past in the UK/Ireland and Europe, as have the 24 others that were in my group and we have never and I mean never had a better time than we did at Glasto 09!!
The experience was only accentuated by the Praxistent service!!
Big deal, you had to queue for the showers, the odd time water ran out/pressure was low and OMG you had to queue for 20mins for food -Imagine the horror!!
What on earth were you expecting, 900 personal showers, 900 personal toilets with flunkies handing you sheets of silk loo roll and each with their own water supply???
COME ON!! It was an absolute pleasure for us, not having to rush to the site to jostle with a load of kids for space to put our tents up, in fact not having to put your tent up at all and someone else doing it for you, with Green grass around each tent!
The ability to park your vehicle a stones throw away so you could keep your gear in it.
Toilets that you could sit down on - wooden seats at a festival - nigh on unheard of!
And shower facilities, admittedly I only had 2 the whole time but what a blessing they were, sorted me right out when my head was west.
Then there was the journey home, no five hour waits in car parks, we left the campsite and were in Bristol aiport within 2 hours of putting the key in the ignition, magic!!

It is absolutely impossible to legislate for every single eventuality, you can try but something always crops up, maybe praxis were promised better water pressure and didn't get it, maybe the food van promised ever so slightly better service (I expect they wanted their delivery to arrive when it didn't), Maybe the site managers didn't particularly want to get rushed to hospital the tuesday before the festival! But who knows eh, please tell Jenni, do you think they planned for these things to happen, do you really?

I could probably go on about the pro's of the site but some people will always feel the need to complain, its just in their nature.
Really really have a long hard think about what you have been saying and then come back and moan and gurn about it, if you do this and still come to the same conclusions I personally think you are the sort that can never be happy with a service!

I for one will be booking next year -If they will have us pack and if Glastonbury Angel, AKA KYJenni, AKA Jenni Wares doesn't scupper it for everyone else(she found herself and her true calling at glastonbury you know!)
They should most definately be given a second chance as they now have a better idea of whats needed to run that kind of site at Glastonbury or any other festival for that matter.

In fact should the site go ahead next year there won't be 25 of us staying, it will most likely be more like 50 as the wives all want to go now too!!

  • Angel u are not

Interesting comments, might as well put my two bobs worth in...
You sound like a lonely lost soul wanting to be needed. Also sounds like you pushed your way around Glastonbury, poking your nose in where it was not wanted or required. Staying back to observe clean up etc, looking through skips, taking rubbish that did not belong to you, names, impact driver, tools, you really had your nose in that skip bin. Sounds to me, like, had you left when the Festival was over, you most certainly would have still had your belongings. Had i endured such an event as a business proprietor, i also would have cleaned up any left overs laying around, right in the skip, i mean to say, i am sure there were many more important tasks at hand, than guarding some unbeknown's belongings. How old are you? You should be looking after your own belongings or did you attend to be baby sat?

A bit of advice for your next attendance at any event. Mind your own business, know your place and mind your manners.

You state "A comedy of errors" prevented you getting back to collect "a few bits". You are the one that made the comical error, no-one else. You also state "I think my IPOD". What the? Were you High and can't remember? I ask you.

"Girl guides would get to have fun and learn a lot". I don't think so, not quite the place for Girl guides.

What are your qualifications to suggest making "recommendations" to Glastonbury Officials.

You then go on to say you had a "busy experience over the last 2 weeks helping many many people, all over the festival". Gees you must be exhausted. Sounded like you spent all your time helping poor Praxistents. Hope all the others you helped write in soon and thank you for your efforts.

In what capacity or role do you get to stay back and find out about how the site gets cleared up or the conditions for workers on litter pick.

Gosh girl, you would have been of better use at your suggested Love Riot.

You end up knocking the whole Glastonbury Festival Site saying it requires changes and promising not to return. Phew!
"Angel" you are not, but you are very good at singing your own praises. Get a Life.

you should have considered Law Numbers 1, 3 and 5 above and remained trustworthy, honest, and polite and considerate before writing such a negative review (praising only yourself ) and as number 3 states, learnt from your experience. Shame Shame shame Jen

  • write to recommend Praxis for next year

Please if you intend booking with Praxis next year write to office@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk with a recommendation.
I have searched the web as suggested by failry above and researched praxis to find that they are and have proven to be a very competent group at many other major events including The World Cup in Germany, The Golf Opens, Church Groups and Motor Sports and have done so for quite some years. Come on, Get behind this company who worked very hard to date. Cheers

    • alternatively you could write to them and let them know how rubbish Crapsis tents were, like I have done and how another more deserving company should do the job instead. One that wouldn’t rip you off and could actually deliver what they promise.

  • i'm just confused as to why you will all pay extra for camping

when perfectly good facilities are provided for you anyway! this is why glasto and other festivals are setting full of people who would have never gone to festivals five years ago!!!!!!!

  • i'm just confused as to why you will all pay extra for camping

Its handy for us who have to travel long distances by train/plane/bus etc to not have to leave an extra day early to get there to ensure that we can all get camped together and not have to fight the throngs, you don't have to carry all your gear on that long journey either or pay the excess baggage and for me the best bit is you can leave your beer in a van close by and have cold ones all weekend.
I have served my time slumming it as I am sure many of the other campers on that site have and now I can afford to pay that little extra and make life easier I will!

In general the facilities are good, yes, but the shitters are far from pleasant for a start!

  • extra for camping

Yes its all done for you, it was lovely to have the space from the main areas, to just lay back for a while and the facilities supplied were some of the best i've seen at many events...so there were moments they were not working, so what, shit happens...c'mon and think about the cost the company has forgone to set this up...it was still much cheaper than some of the other accommodation on offer. There are people that just can't bring these things and set up themselves, be it through injuries sustained or just poor health that appreciate that sort of a set up. Given the second chance which is commanded to this company, I am sure next year's Glasto will receive rave reviews regarding Praxis Tents. C'mon Michael, Fair Go! Don't let em down.

I'm with you all the way Sean! Great to see some of us still have compassion and an eye to see a bad situation as it really was, just plain bad luck and misfortune pertaining to a lack of preparation time, maybe somewhat green around the gills being a first timer to the event and circumstances out of the organizers control, besides there were many more ups than downs.

Go Glastonbury! 2010. Go Praxis Tents!

  • This is brilliant

Keep the genuine testimonials going people. You all sound like really sincere people who love Praxis Tents, most of whom are 18 but for some unfortunate reason happen to write like a moderately peeved guy in his mid-30s.

Honestly, I've no idea if there's any truth to KYJenni's claims, but given these pathetic attempts at astroturfing I know that I wouldn't touch Praxis Tents with a bargepole.

  • Lyserge

Oh Lyserge! You disappoint me...I am 18 and in my first year of heading to a law degree at Uni...sounds as though u think i might just make it, in this field. Its all about people taking things too far with a lot of untruths and having experienced the stay myself, don't believe it was that bad at all. Guess some people's expectations are just higher than others.

  • kyjenny - bagging Glastonbury

This kyjelly is spoiling the Glastonbury event to no end...she has again started a sounding board on another site knocking the whole Glastonbury organisation, asking, WAIT FOR IT, for everyone to BOYCOTT Glastonbury next year, because of all the unfair and poor conditions of the festival as a whole. Give it a rest aka kyjen. Shut Up!

    • HaHaHaHa

Lets just hope the Eavis' and the othe organisers see her for the muppet she is then and give these people a second chance!

  • amazing thread

Praxis Tents are really really really really good at PR and pretending to be different people and sound incredibly convincing. This thread certainly doesn't make me think that they are a bit odd in the head and probably a shit company.

  • As if, Guess u had to be there - others comments from facebook...

Hi there to every one, Just got home now from glasto, (not due of traffic jam, just one small delay with our plane)

As i see there are a lot of mixed thoughts about the tented village. Personally this was the first time they set up shop and as many of you have all ready said there are a lot of things to be improved upon. I was there with kids and to say the truth i think that the village was the best place i vould have taken them to. It was safer then the pits down below. the showers (although not working most of the time) were decent and clean.

I am really sure that if we do forward some constructive comments they would be more then happy to work on improving for next year. Mind you i was the first one to bring up the point about the showers before we even left for Glasto and a lot of people thought i was panicking a little too much.

So yes i am sure i will be booking for next time and yes the pros did outdo the cons, I was confortabel with out the need to set up tent

are experiance was fine, we just waited till about noon for a shower and it was all good. Tiolets were fine and 20 times better than the loo's on site, and I agree missing all the festival traffic was a god send, spechially as I had to stop to be sick 3 times on the way home. Id stay there again.

Here Here Sean..... absolutely........We will defo be booking next year, all being well that Praxi don't pull out due to the mamoth moaning.

With all said and done about praxis, for me I thought it was one of, if not THE best glasto's ever, non stop laughs, great weather, great music. Bring on 2010 wherever everyone camps.

I'm with Sean on this. It was after all a first-time set up and there's bound to be a few glitches. Just a few tweaks and it will be better next year.

I'm sorry, but what a pack of moaning B@stard's, i have to be blunt people, i have never in my life heard so much crying- are you professional moaners? Big deal, there was a big hill, and the toilets and showers ran out of water once in a while, all you had to do was wait a bit and it was back on! What can you expect with 900 people usin them? Some for a half hour at a time, really don't you think that was takin the piss a bit?
The cons outweighed the pros, but the peace of mind we had was great. There was no worrying about returning to a trashed tent, and at night, it was quiet.

However, regarding the showers and toilets, has anyone reviewed the last paragraph in the ‘Recent news’ section of this group? I say no more!!! I had a shower on the Thursday evening, but from then on, I was in the same boat as anyone else at the festival.

I think my main issue with the ‘Tented Village’ was the busybody who was going round like she owned the place – one night when we were relaxing in the marquee (after a long day on site), she waltzed in, made us feel unwelcome and as we were leaving, accused us of littering the tables…when we said it wasn’t us she said, “I can’t believe anyone would leave rubbish there”, as though in saying that we would clear up someone else’s mess. Probably one of the most annoying people I’ve ever had the misfortune to encounter! Continued...

guys if anyone does hear from Jen, could you let her parents know.
it seems she has quit her job and disappeared. Her parents are obviously worried sick and are going down to Glastonbury to search for her. i hope all is ok
    Their email address is dougwares@aol.com

I'm back home now, I had a lovely time seeing the rest of the site get back to normal, the clean up crews have done a fantastic job.

I'm not tripping, I've never even done acid. I've had a detox, I don't really eat anything unnatural anymore and I've never felt better. I've lost weight, toned up and never looked so healthy. I'm high on life (and maybe a little bit of marjuana lol).

Now lets make this the end of it...think it. I for one just don't like to see one persons irresponsible actions bring anyone down. From what I can see, they are having a pretty good go of it, thus the responses from those that can accept a few imperfections.

  • Glasto 2010

Hey 40th Anniversary for Glasto next year. Registration opened yesterday. The say they gunna try get 1 act from each year Glasto has run on the Pyramid Stage. Rumours - Cold Play, Bob Dylan. I'm registering early. Had such a great time this year.

  • Glasto 2010

Can't wait for this! We were all chattin about it last night, its gonna be immense!

  • The first step to recovery

is to admit that you're all the same person.

For crying out loud, why didn't you just come on here, say that you're a representative of Praxis Tents and put forward a robust defence? People would be much more likely to give you the benefit of the doubt than from this hamfisted series of impostures.

    • HaHaHa you have a good sense of humour Lyserge

Sean will you be taking the other 23 lads again? I have read your postings elsewhere, (actually mentioned below), thanks to boxhead. So you had a stag/bucks do at Glasto eh! Good Luck on the Big Day. Well Sean, I am bored with these geeks, so good luck with the wedding, might catch u next year at Glasto...bring the wife. Cya dude.

      • you probably just want to know how many people will be return customers so you can make up your losses from this years crap service and all the refunds you've had to give

  • Crapsis tents

ha ha lyserge, i hear you and must admit that i thought the same thing.

interesting that only the good parts were taken from the facebook post about how rubbish Praxis Tents aka Crapsis tents were!

big greedy rip off merchants that can't deliver.......their hallmark is supposed to be quality.......

direct from their website - You're going to enjoy yourself - we intend to make sure you do!

ha ha very funny! you would think that a company with so much experience would be able to deliver wouldn't you

so for sake of clarity, here is the whole post on the facebook site that gives a balanced point of view from lots of people onsite, some of whom seemed to have a good experience but perhaps they were drunk the whole time!

  • old but certainly not wise

old but certainly not wise...wonder who you are boxfish...amazing how you appeared out of nowhere...I am not one in the same with anyone else on here and i can guarantee that, I am an individual. Are you so gullible to think a company such as PT have nothing better to do than pretend on here...what a joke...pathetic people, absolutely pathetic...are you lyserge or maybe old doctor, Boxfish?...maybe you are Jen all of u...you guys are a joke...u didn't even go to Glastonbury, so go elsewhere...this jen character was a pain in the butt at the event and is a pain on a number of sites, doesn't even have the courtesy to let her parents know of her whereabouts, can't even remember if she had fucking keys or ipod in her stuff...no of course not, cos she's off her tree half the fucking time...she is talking out of her arse, even her parents took her to the docs to declare her nuts and she declares that herself...u have got me peeved now, u are so pathetic that you can't understand why some of us who thoroughly enjoyed the event want to rid Glastonbury of the likes of (angel)Jen, so next year, we can enjoy the festival. Spoil sports the lot of you...Up ur nose with a rubber hose...go jump...And I don't give a shit what u write next...you're much too old for this site...and really have no right responding when you didn't experience it...PT probably don't even know about this cow's accusations or that anyone might be singing its praises. For me when i started looking for reviews and photos on Glastonbury i found this pathetic letter from her and her accusations on a number of other sites...i call her a nutter who is telling people what a little soldier she is (puke) i want to spew...she is a trouble maker, forcing herself on others...fair enough, people were not happy with the service, but fair enough others were. Start a vendetta...not just on one site, not a personal approach, lets let the world know, i call that a vendetta and i despise people who say they are so wonderful on one hand and show you the other side of them in the same breath on the other hand. I will return to Glastonbury next year, but I won't return here. RIP

    • I think maybe you need to go to some anger management classes little boy

  • This is so weird

    • This is the best thread ever.

I never even knew who Praxis Tents were before this thread but they just look utter, utter twats.

It's brilliant when you end up with 67 "different" people with the exact same typing styles signing up for sites at the same time to defend a company.

      I love these "coincidences!..."

  • I most certainly did....

I had the best Stag doo ever, all 24 of us had the weekend of our lives, most of the lads that went are married or engaged and now the wives/ fiances want to go next yr, so looks like there will be closer to 50 of us next yr, yikes! Cannot wait tho, its gonna be class!
Everyone we met while we were there was 100% which is why i'm finding it hard to believe the venom spewing from some people on these sites, I thought glasto was supposed to be all about peace, love, happiness, music and fun..... back to the subject at hand, I most definately believe in second chances and will be back to Praxis next year.

    • Lad, wives/fiances?

Sounds like an ideal TARGET MARKET. YIKES!

    • god help the rest of us. seriously its people like you that means the rest of us who paid good money get ripped off.

the services promised were not delivered so i don't know why you insist on defending Crapsis tents. If they had made an effort to rectify the problems - no water/leaky tents/poor sanitation/poor customer service/lack of communication then i would whole heartedly give them a second chance but no they didn't! it just wasn’t good enough for a company that has extensive experience in providing tented villages to events.

they were greedy, originally stated there would only be 200 tents but crammed 300 onsite instead with no increase in the facilities. We are lucky we didn’t get dysentery due to the lack of hygiene. The only place to wash your hands was the same tap that everyone was using for drinking water.

    • But Sean. You aren't a real person.

I hate to break this to you and I understand how much it'll hurt your fiancee to realise she's marrying a fictionalised character created by a Praxis Tents employee to help sell the products to people on the internet who they've clearly mistaken for utter fuckwits and I understand how much it must hurt you to be that person but it's still true.

I do apologise for this misfortune but you're fooling nobody at all.

Peter Calcraft, which someone told me is the name of the guy who runs it, was charming, friendly and if the rumours I heard were to be believed is "hung like Leamington Spa". And I thought they did a great job organising everything, especially as it was the first time.

OK, it wasn't cheap but neither is champagne and nobody complains when they buy that.

Some people just find anything to complain about. If someone accidnetally threw out my coat and ipod I wouldn't blame them. I'd just suck it up and buy a new one.

I have attended one festival every weekend so far in 2009, except the last weekend in May when I attended four, and I've never had a better experience than with PraxisTent at Glastonbury.

Sure, you had to queue for showers and food but people coped without showers at all during the Middle Ages and they coped, or they died of bubonic plague in some cases admittedly, but they certainly didn't complain about the lack of showers on internet messageboards.

In summary PraxisTent was the best thing about the festival by far. Way better than Neil Young. And Blur didn't even have Paul Daniels guesting with them on Parklife like he did originally, the bastards.

If all festivals used PraxisTent there wouldn't even be a Middle East Crisis.

    Royter-Hatfood this'd this
  • Yeah, agreed.

To be honest some people will complain about anything. I hope the people at PraxisTent aren't reading this from their offices in Didcot Parkway and thinking 'Jesus, what the hell did we do wrong?' I know that their PR manager Jeff 'Just truckin' Tobias has a pacemaker, and this could be a terrible shock for him.

Anyway, I just want to say thanks for the great effort you guys put in. To be honest I think some people just want everything to be perfect whenever they go away, and don't understand that some things are just beyond even the control of the PraxisTentCorp. For example the camouflaged spike traps set throughout the camping area; to be honest, they're something I could have done without, but then I just remember to myself that a hundred years ago they didn't even have Glastonbury, tents, camping, music or concepts, so I lived with it. I've seen some people complaining about the random baggings/beatings administered by the PraxisTentCorp Re-Education Squads but to be honest I thought they were a great load of lads and they really kept me on my toes throughout the week! To be honest, I'd prefer it if they told me the location of my wife and child, because the last time I saw them they were having burlap sacks placed over their heads and being dragged over to where we'd seen a pit being dug earlier that day, but even as a rifle butt was slammed into my stomache, I thought "to be honest, it's not perfect but we've had a great time so why complain."

All of you troublemakers and - let's be honest - hippies who claim to have had these awful experiences are either whingers or possibly employees of FutureCampCorp whose low-down smear tactics are well know. Everyone should remember that there are two sides to every story, so let's all say a big THANKS to PraxisTentCorp! Until next year guys! And please, just let me hear their voices one more time?

  • Incredible.

Great work PraxisTents, I've read this gem twice now.

  • How can praxiStenz defend THIS though:

"the main people who were meant to be dealing with the organisation got rushed to hospital on the Tueday before the festival as their faces swelled up"

The lack of toilets and thing-safekeeping facilities I could handle, but the swarm of killer bees they unleashed on THEIR OWN STAFF the day before Glastonbury started - just because they knew too much - was a bit beyond the pale. I know for a fact that next year I'll be staying in Tense Ten Tents field sector 5. With manager Sherman 'sherpa' Tent-sing (I believe that's his name) in charge you know you're gonna have a festival experience you can all enjoy.

  • accusations galore

wow, the accusations! Innuendo's, its amazing. Sean's not Sean, rival companies smearing other's, everyone is the same person, then using the real names of people who don't seem to be aware of all of this and yet all of you are here under assumed nicks, hope there's no claim for defamation here.
I really think this subject has been beaten to a pulp. Click the facebook link that boxfish gave above and go read, then give it a rest, i think this is over the top.

    • Hilarious!

I'm sorry to break it to you, but I am most certainly me and always have been!
We paid £125 each and it was money well spent, maybe we are just a bit more chilled than you muppets..... I pity anyone that can get so worked up over such trivial things as queueing for showers and bacon baps or brief water shortages!!

      • Don't you like the rest of the forum...

it seems like you have only ever written on this thread. You can understand why people think you work for Praxis.

        • so did Jenny...interesting how you can google somethings.

but then maybe you could go to the other 4 sites and add a comment where Jenny also bagged the whole Glastonbury Event and suggests a boycott next year. And then just like all of you, word of mouth brings another comment. Had fun reading it myself. Thanks for the entertainment Jen.

          • Ah but the difference is that Jenny's plausible and the other people defending PraxisTents are not.

It's pretty reasonable and logical and that anyone who's gone somewhere and had a really shit time, and then someone had thrown away a load of their stuff, would be adequately pissed off to write slagging off the company/warning others on various internet sites. That's a logical thing to do in that circumstance.

What is not so logical is why a load of random people who'd stayed in the same place would feel the need to defend that company, going far past the point of saying "well, actually we had a good time" but actually questioning the credibility of her story.

The bottom line is that there's absolutely no way any "random" consumer, regardless of whether they enjoyed their time with PraxisTents or not, could possibly have any way of knowing whether they did or did not know out her stuff, and the fact that there's so many "different" people on here who claim to be nothing to do with PraxisTents but claim with absolute certainty Jenny's story isn't true (which only Jenny and PraxisTents could possibly know either way) is incredibly, incredibly suspect.

            • simple answer theguywithnousername

Simple and last answer for me, this thread has become so boring. Because we endured Jennifer at the site, and she was a menace, there is something not right with that girl. Why did she have to post reviews on so many different sites. If you took a look at some of the other postings by Jennifer, her stuff that got thrown out ended up becoming only the house keys and possibly an ipod, nothing more, then the coat, then more stuff, the story is never the same. You will also see where she praises them and understands what went wrong and then she is mad cos she lost her stuff, who says they did that, its word against word, for god sake, when an event is finished its finished, people clean up, if you are off playing inspector, too bad, i say, get over it, disappear for days, take ur stuff with u. Others have the said the same, she was a busy body, not wantedby majority, only her facebook friends back her. Jennifer isn't certain what was thrown out and its about time happy customers say so, we were glad to have stayed there, maybe our experience was better than others, and if anything Jennifer says is true, then she should have handled it direct with the company she accuses. I have no personal contacts with this company other than having stayed with them at 3 other events and without complaint. If u are so concerned why don't u write to Praxis yourself and ask them. I for one don't see the need, i only said how my time went and it was good considering. Okay i've had enough and looks like others have too.

  • award for most entertaining thread on the dis site

goes to PraxisTent At Glastonbury 2009

thank you so much, this is genius. make believe people falling over themselves to praise something that sounded bloody awful.

    • You people are wild!

I've said it once and i'll say it 1 last time, your girl Jenni was/is a complete mooncat! She walked about the campsite 24/7 telling people she was the Praxis tent welfare officer, when she was sweet feck all to do with them! She put everyones heads away, someone earlier sarcastically mentioned why pay for a ticket when you can just stay on the campsite, well thats what that muppet did, only going down to the site after the festival was over!
A few people had problems with the campsite, not me nor any of the 24 with me or anyone in the surrounding tents for that matter, maybe another 40 people!
Thats clearly far from everyone as I am told there were around 900 on the site but its a decent percentage and I don't see how things could have been so bad, at any stage, to contact the festival organisers and call for a ban on the company when at least 10% of the people that I know of experienced no problems whatsoever!
Which brings me to the conclusion that these few are complete and utter moaning for the sake of moaning b@astards....

  • oh shit Iiiiiii remember this lot

I was laden with my 6 spacehoppers of Strongbow and enough nang beans to knock out Judy Finnegan so naturally the Capri was full to the point of illegality before I even considered the issue of tents.

Textbook. Anyways, a glance at the sick on my thighboots brought back the memory of bumping into someone who kept chewing my ear off in the holding cells a week beforehand after THAT night bus stop (you know who you are COUGHthrowingarentboythroughalondiswindowCOUGH) - apparently they ran a tent service or somesuch. £600...all in for the weekend - fucking pegs and all. Snick.

So I point the bonnet west, God knows what little Pavlenka spat into that ashtray but I daren't look. Praxis man had promised me collusion on something he cryptically called "I-Love-It-When-You-Call-Gate"...my half of the shopping list was johnnies, a supersoaker and strict chicken gravy diet for the preceeding 48 hours...To be honest the plan was hazy (I could have sworn Dan Gillespie Sells was the bassist not the singer, and after all, this Praxis man was speaking from under a hot towel at the time)

But yeh brer - washout, in the end. really....I'm coming to in a carpark as we speak. For all I know, Praxis are packed up and 100 miles away by now, I'm wiping salty wash from my teeth and a terrified mother is screaming "HIM" as a circle grows around me. This can't end well...
