we're investigating this now (as long as i can get hold of someone)
(compared to the sequence of test posts in the OP):
^Afaik that's true whether the single paragraph quotation is in the title of a post, or the body text.
Paragraphs after a single paragraph body text quotation are liable to feck up the rest of the post indiscriminately. Usually by deleting everything after it (or maybe around it?... idk).
Inline 'mid-sentence' quotes in double or single quotes "mostly seem to be fine". But I wouldn't ever count on it.
."Full stops outside of your quote marks fools it (haven't checked other punctuation, but double apostrophes doesn't work as a substitute for normal shift+2 quote marks).".
“Fancy, non-shift+2 stylee, copy and pasted quote marks seem to be fine though. I got the ones surrounding this paragraph from a quote I'd added to my facebook info, for example.”
There's also a problem when full stops are directly before links.http://www.bbc.co.uk/
."seems like you don't even need the second full stop for single paragraph quotes."
So it's kinda full stop-centric.http://www.bbc.co.uk/
gonna take a bash at fixing this, this week (weds, hopefully)
the text isn't appearing in the source and developer time this week was spent on keeping the site online but we hope to remedy this next week
"test 5 was, too, and got scrubbed"
"wonder if the spacebar space before quotes instead of the full stop is enough to fool it"
"looks like it 2, with a space before this whole paragraph quotation"
"looks like it 3, with a space before this whole paragraph quotation"
