First listen: 24 hours with mbv
It's finally here! MBV (that's My Bloody Valentine to you and me) have gone and released their first album in 22 years also called mbv. Having spent twenty-four hours encompassing a total of eleven listens (one has to eat, drink and sleep too you know) in its company, here's DiS' first impressions of possibly the most eagerly anticipated album in history.

yeah, skream was DEFINITELY brought up on 'loveless'
Stop being so white.
It doesn't say he was brought up on it
It says he was influenced by it.
Big difference.
Or influenced his influences.
anyone else find this album distinctly lacking in bottom end?
Then again, I s'pose there's not a huge amount of low end grunt to Loveless
Oh I dunno
Those last 3 songs take 'mbv' to another level.
Bit confused by the reference to The Go! Team up there...
Kevin Shields had nothing to do with that album bar remixing one track for a single I don't think? Listening to it isn't exactly the opportunity to "hear his majestic reverence in all its glory".
The last Go! Team record which he had nothing to do with
sounds more like a My Bloody Valentine record in parts.
