... uh, Everything All The Time was their awesome album dude. But meh, I kinda thought this might be the way the album went. Bummer

I'm a fan of both- problem is this is neither. Sorry to be the barer of bad news- I really really wanted to like it because I think they could come out with something that taps all of the stuff they're best at and is still commercial- this isn't it though. If you'll excuse the Kermodeism, I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed.
EATT is one of my fav album of the 00s
And to have not really made a single song I've really liked since...is sorta astonishing. (Cease to Begin is very mediocre.) Still, on the great strength of EATT, I'll buy this record. But I suspect this will be it.
Patrick Wolf, Band of Horses, etc...god, so many acts I used to love...and now don't.

Am I actually in the minority for marginally preferring CTB to EATT? Who knew.
