Moonface - With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery

Why we can’t just have another Sunset Rubdown record I am not sure, but it’s Spencer Krug’s prerogative to do whatever he pleases, and as unexpected career diversions go, this is a pretty good ‘un.

  • yeah, that's about right

I'd call Faraway Lightening more early (Real to Real Cacophony era) Simple Minds, and I don't feel the reverence towards Sunset Rubdown that everyone else seems to feel, but otherwise this review is pretty much on the money.

The start is a bit weak, with the first 2 tracks doing not much for me at all, but "Shitty City", followed by "Quickfire, I Tried", pick things up, while "Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips" is a cracker.

  • Faraway Lightning totally worth the release of this album alone

but unfortunately it's yet another I wont fall in love with from Krugg :(
