Back in 2002, Domino released James Yorkston & the Athletes’ debut, Moving Up Country. Adored by both critics and discerning listeners at the time, it has attracted many new fans over the intervening decade with its timeless sound and careful songcraft. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of its release, Domino is reissuing the album and James Yorkston will be playing the record in full at a number of venues across the UK.

So glad this is getting some attention. One of my very favourite albums of the last 10 years
Saw him at Autofest back in 2002/2003. Hadn't really heard of him before but loved it. took a while for me to fall for the album though, probably a year or two, but I love it more and more every time I listen to it.
Great idea to tag the Lang Toun on the end, I still remember that song being the stand out from the set I saw. Still haven't seen him again since Autofest but that is set to change next month, can't wait!
