I recall at the time of them going on hiatus the Hartnoll brothers were very open about the need to take a break having spent the past 15 years cooped up in a room together making music. Sounds as tho it was time well spent...
Disagree with you about Distractions though, I think that`s my favourite track. My only complaint is that the album`s a bit too short, one more track wouldn`t have gone amiss. Overall though it`s a cracking, enjoyable album.
Since I wrote this review, it has grown on me loads. I think the high pitched nature of the warped vocals put me off at first. They did on 'Never' initially too. The album as a whole would be a lot worse if 'Distractions' wasn't in the place it is for sure.
I kinda hope that they follow this release with a release like The Box single, where they reconstructed that track in 4 different ways. A few of these songs could certainly be extended into 15 minute show pieces.
Damn you, Amazon
...where's my copy? I ordered it ages ago and you haven't despatched it yet. I really want to hear this.
This is very exciting

On the 'undamn you amazon' side of things
newbies to Orbital can buy the first 5 orbital albums (Green to Middle of Nowhere) as a box set for a tenner. Nice.
^that is an incredible run of albums for a tenner
This is the best way of spending £10 in history.
the break certainly seems to have re-invigorated them
New France is rapidly becoming one of the best tunes in their entire catalogue.
One Big Moment:
Their best opening since Forever.
Good review
