DiS in 2011: Stats, Most Read, Top Threads and Editor's Picks
DiS' editor runs through the year's most read, as well as his favourite things published on DiS, and elsewhere, in 2011. Plus a competition to win a subscription to the brilliant Stack magazine club.

Will that George Foreman thread NEVER die?
My DiS pick of the year would have to be sharp_yet_blunt's magnificent quizzes of sorts.
probably not
it seems to get a sudden spike of 50k hits from Stumbleupon every so often. Should probably a DiS mission in 2011 to get more stuff spiking on Stumbleupon :)
2012*
I'm just happy to be here!
Yeah I "discovered" it a while back.
I regret it because it is fairly stupid in fairness, but got loads of views. Think it is on 300,000 nearly now. Where is my percentage of ad revenue? :D
That Stack thing looks pretty good
Hey sean
This is the best thing I've read on DiS this year, coz it's got all the best bits in it. Where do I collect my winnings?
The Aidan Moffat takeover was the best thing on the site this year
but then, everything that Aidan has done in the past few years has been pretty magical.
A few nice things from elsewhere:
Adam Curtis on Learning to Hug: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis/2011/10/the_curse_of_tina_part_two.html
Jonathan Franzen on (surprise surprise) the loss of privacy: http://www.technologyreview.com/printer_friendly_article.aspx?id=21173&channel=infotech§ion=
A long article about how advances in neurosciences are changing criminal law: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/07/the-brain-on-trial/8520/1/
Just signed up for Stack on your recommendation
If it's rubbish I know who to blame.
In relation to the pub quiz team names...
does anybody have a link to a similar one for comedy band names. I can't find it. Included "Sean-Paul Jartre".
