DiS Does Pop: The Xmas Bumper Edition
Welcome to the final DiS Does Pop of 2011 and in Smash Hits style we’ve made this one a bumper edition. Should you cast your eyes below, you’ll find the DiS Does Pop Awards, our Christmas Gift Guide, a preview of the festive Number 1 contenders, a playlist of our favourite tracks from the year gone by and a pleasantly surprising Straight To TV. So go on and gorge yourself on some pop goodness, we won’t tell anyone.

I think Britney Spears is a genuine phenomenon.
She hasn't got a strong voice and is only a passable dancer, but has become the vehicle for a formidable bunch of writers and producers. Her live show this year was great fun, even if it was like watching a blonde audience member somehow being caught in a mincing machine. There is no pretence that she really sings, or that the music is being played live and IT DOESN'T MATTER. And her audience knows and respects this. More power to her elbow.
DiS has the most exhaustive end-of-year coverage ever.
Can we have a top five DiS end-of-year articles?
The gift list is amazing
This article had me laughing so loud!!
Utterly Brilliant.
Between the Alexandra Burke 'Argos Watch', the One Direction 'combo' which offers 'unquestionable value' and the Matt Cardle book, most copies of which will unquestionably find their way to the pulping centre, I'm now completely stumped as to what to buy people for Christmas. What an amazing selection!!
Maybe I'll just get them copies of Nils Frahm's new album and a Gareth Davis CD...
Why didn't they have the guts to call Little Mix
Chubby & the feeders?? Catchy.
that Lucky Day tune by Nicola Roberts from her album
appears to have totally taken over my brain to such an extent that I have realised that resistance is utterly futile.
It's an absolute belter
