My Top 10 live shows of 2011 by Dom Gourlay
Having seen nearly one thousand bands throughout 2011, whittling this list down to just ten performances proved a nigh-on impossible task. However, after much deliberation and soul searching discussions with friends and acquaintances, here in no particular order (bar the first one, natch) are what I consider to be the finest ten performances these tired and weary eyes and ears have witnessed this year.

Looking forward to seeing them at Primavera next year
All being well.
Sufjan Stevens at RFH
Not just the gig of the year for me but of the decade.
Wow!
I wish I'd seen his show at Primavera Sound. Everyone I know that went said it was one of the best things they'd ever witnessed.
Wasn't quite on the level of Pulp at Leeds or The Cure but it was pretty special.
The performance of 'Chicago' at the end was jaw-dropping. People actually weeping with joy around me. Haven't seen an individual live track as good as that in ages!
Damn right
And as for those of you that missed this to watch Matt Cardle's backing band. Shame.
Wow. Such indie-wank petulance.
Strangely, i managed to catch both Biffy and the Sisters yet i feel no shame at all. Maybe because there was no schedule clash between bands. There was also no competition.
This kind of bedroom, cod-sardonic shit really puts me off this site, i have to say. 'Shame'.
That wasn't meant to be @Stuzza
Also, quotation marks don't appear to work on this site.....
