It's the middle of winter for the Australian show, not summer.

They're being lined up for Les Eurokennes, I've heard

the Tron soundtrack is out next year, which gives them a good reason to tour.
I saw these dates
about a fortnight ago elsewhere and I think they were quickly confirmed as fake.
Didn't even register that it's around Bestival time

of course its fake unless they have a cross deal with SJM and Live Nation considering the weird choice in the UK venues.
