Morrissey - Swords
Post-comeback, Morrissey’s advancing years are always going to be a question. The collection is littered with quaint archaisms.

Is he in some kind of long running shit artwork competition?
He might be winning.
A lot of this review is based on erroneous assumptions
For example It’s Hard to Walk Tall When You’re Small is not about some anonymous Latin male. It's about Mike Joyce.
A more open mind is required.
He's keeping..
..his iconic figure in the mix, and nothing wrong with looking like an orienteering enthusiast in a nuclear winter.
Quite a tiresome review
I didn't really gather anything from that. More concise writing please.
Stop being so literal-minded under my article

As if any Morrissey song is simplistic enough to be 'about' a person. What are you ‘about’? The use of ‘gringo’ clearly comes from his latino connection and to deploy it as he did, in a context of masculine introspective weakness, is typically suspect. Das all.
Are you a Jedward covers band?
If you are I agree with you.
that cover's asking for a photoshopped Robert Smith going for a reacharound.
^POTD
lol!
best comment on here, better than the review even!
Witty workman, indeed.
This is just an amazingly bad review. The style of writing is pretentious in the extreme. And for all its pretentiousness it doesn't even ring true. Your interpretations of his songs leads me to believe you're rather new to Morrissey. If you knew anything of the man you'd not interpret his songs this way. "Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice" couldn't be more clear unless he'd said it matter-of-factly and non-poetically, yet you still got it wrong.
Plus, what a disingenuous review. Bad, bad, bad, bad, GOOD. 7 of 10 for ol' Mozzer -- because he's Mozzer and everyone knows he's a legend even if I'm unable to see it. Right?
...jesus christ
Terrible review. You go on and on about the past (IE. your rant on Bengali In Platforms) that has absolutely nothing to do with this release. Why do you review music? Are you aware of the shit pile you create when you type up these reviews or are you too blind to see sheer idiocy when its a few inches from your face? Hmm.
the most ridicilous review i've read on DIS.
well we all know that Moz always aware the beauty of the b side though.
Better than Years of refusal imo
