Young Widows were formed from the ashes of Breather Resist. They are Evan Patterson (guitar+vocals), Nick Thieneman (bass) and Geoff Paton (drums).

The trio recorded their debut album, Settle Down City, with Chris Owen in early 2006. Originally intended as a Breather Resist LP, the band decided to dub themselves Young Widows as the music was so detached from their older material.

The LP recalls the likes of Jesus Lizard, Wives and Shellac. It is very The Good. Yup.
