Down was originally a side-project for Phil Anselmo while he took time away from Pantera. Their debut NOLA recieved critical success, but the members had to regroup with their former bands. Down released their second album in 2001, before Phil Anselmo joined another side-project named Superjoint Ritual. Down are to release their third effort in 2006.
