Bardo Pond are Black Sabbath but without the pomposity and a fair bit louder. Pretty much every song consists of a very slow Sabbath-esque riff, lots of feedback and a woman who smokes far too much wailing a bit. They sound like a very stoned and lethargic Sonic Youth and should be praised for this. The band have released the following albums; Bufo Alvarius (1995), Amanita (1996), Lapsed (1997), Set And Setting (1999), Dilate (2001) and On The Ellipse (2003).
