Hope of the States

A band formed a good few years back, their birthplace of Chichester may not equate in your eyes to the spawning-ground of legends, but if one thing is set to be achieved from the ‘States all-encompassing greatness – it’s that prior-laid conventions are set to be dutifully crushed.

Fronted by the intriguingly sensitive, unassuming Sam Herlihy, H Of S are the UK’s most daringly avant-garde cum post-rock alt-force in action. With a debut-single – ‘Black Dollar Bills’ – under their belts, itself tougher to find than a sincere, non-drug-consuming children’s TV-presenter, the world is slowly aligning itself to their agenda.
