Chimaera

Brief band history:

Chimaera are from the outskirts of Edinburgh and have been together for about 4 years. They formed at School in Balerno and have been through different names and band members finally ending up with the current line-up.

Chimaera have been played on subcity radio, have won the BURBS.com new sound room and have played with such acts as Ballboy, Suckle, Elliot and many others. Chimaera have been compared to bands like Radiohead, Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Verve, Elbow and Afghan Whigs. While the vocals have been compared to Morrisey, Mark Almond and Thom Yorke.

Their influences include: Ride, Verve, Spiritualized, Radiohead, Mogwai, U2, Nick Drake, Nirvana amongst others.

Chimaera have a number of gigs coming up in Edinburgh and Glasgow in the following few months most dates are to be confirmed but those confirmed are detailed below this profile.

Chimaera also plan to release their new E.P this month titled "We are the Whores" they will be releasing it on their own label. It was recorded at Chamber Sudios in Edinburgh
