Modified Toy Orchestra

Modified Toy Orchestra are a live electronic act that uses no conventional instruments, no midi, no sequencing, no sampling, no synthesizers, no laptops. Modified Toy Orchestra are a collection of abandoned and reconstructed children’s electronic toys, conducted by a selection of musicians.

A project formed by award-winning sound artist Brian Duffy, the Toy Orchestra has undergone a new incarnation in recent years, expanding its live potential to form a six-piece band, employing the talents of Darren Joyce (Dreams of Tall Buildings) Mike Johnston (Plone, Mike In Mono) Lawrence Hunt (Pram) Chris Plant and Joe Leach.
