Andrew Pekler

Signed to label: Kranky

After spending his high school years in California, Andrew Pekler settled in Heidelberg where he played in bands like garage rock Mucus 2 or pop/electronica Bergheim 34.

His own sonic experimentations drove him to records a few records under the name Sad rockets.

Relocating in Berlin, he found new contacts and new musical horizons to explore and decided to record under his own name, concentrating more and more on texture instead of rythm.

After two albums for Scape Station to Station ( 2002 ); Nocturnes, False Dawns & Breakdowns ( 2004 ) and one album for Staubgold Strings and Feedback ( 2005 ), his new album cue will be released by Kranky in May 2007.
