Apostle of Hustle is the project of Broken Social Scene lead guitarist and songwriter, Andrew Whiteman.
Their debut album Folkloric Feel first took shape after Whiteman spent a two-month sojourn at the invitation of an old family friend in el barrio Santo Suarez, Havana, Cuba in 2001. This experience was mind blowing to Whiteman from the ground up: the community, the fashion, the bustle of life and naturally, the music. Whiteman returned to Toronto invigorated and took up residency at a local dive as Apostle Of Hustle, forming a quartet.
The band's second LP, National Anthem Of Nowhere, is released in May 2007.
