Late hip hop producer, MC and all round genius, who's seminal work helped form the neo-soul subgenre and influence many before his death from TTP and lupus in February 2006.
Born James Dewitt Yancey in Detroit, Michigan, his earlier work was released under the pseudonym Jay Dee.
