Leslie Feist is a member of popular Canadian group Broken Social Scene. In between releasing records with one of Canada's most revered modern op/rock groups, she is also a solo artist in her own right. Her music combines various different styles including Jazz and Soul and has been known to regularly sing in French.
Her debut album was entitled Monarch, released in 1999 and is very good. The follow-up wasn't released until 2004, is called Let It Die and is even better. Let It Die includes a song entitled Mushaboom which was used on a Lacoste perfume advert. A third album, Open Season, an album of remixes and collaborations with the likes of Jamie Lidell, Renaud Letang and Mockey was released in 2006. She also recently appeared on her ex-housemate Peaches recent record Impeach My Bush.
