But Midlake and Band Of Horses and Aloha and Flaming Lips and Todd and Lords and Boris and Jeniferver and Mono and Russian Circles and Muse and Cortney Tidwell and An Albatross and The Paper Chase and Kaada and Cutting Pink and...
It won't have changed in 5 months time. Nah-huh. You can keep your delicately crafted pop-tuned fine lyriced goodness and shove it. Give it up for those five blokeys from Coventry.
i've only bought about 3 new albums this year, i've been working on my back catalogue mainly. 'give me a wall' was very good, but not good enough to be elevated to album of the year so far i think. hmm. let me go home and inspect my cd collection, i may have a better answer for you.
bought a few new albums released this year. Most of the others are oldies. At the moment though, The Drips self-titled album is probably the best thing I've heard this year. Although the promo copy I have of the new Winnebago Deal album is pretty special.
I don't think I own one from this year. Actually Ant - footprints through the snow. Or Darren Hayman - Table For One (though was dissapointing a little.)
I think Ten Silver Drops by the Secret Machines is awesome. I am looking forward to seeing how Autolux, Midnight Movies, and the Favourite Sons debut fare in the coming months.
i got mine at their ladyfest cardiff noise workshop (lolz) which was awesome. theyre selling at shows at least i think. theyre well worth seeing and are spliting up in october :(

So I'll go with:
The Radio Dept. - Pet Grief
I love that album.
It's fantastic.
Shame it seems to've been overlooked quite a bit this year.
I haven't got it yet
I've been slack with record buying. Even if it's only half as good as Lesser Matters though I'll be well pleased.
Sigh
There are about four words in that last sentence that didn't need to be there.

likewise, I've only
bought a few new albums released this year. Most of the others are oldies. At the moment though, The Drips self-titled album is probably the best thing I've heard this year. Although the promo copy I have of the new Winnebago Deal album is pretty special.

its good the howling bells
just not a patch on tv on the radio, jeniferever, xiu xiu, beirut etc. ooh and the walkmen, that was good.
Band of Horses
EATT just misses a 'classic' tag.
Built to Spill's You in Reverse snags an honorable mention.
Under Byen!
"Under Byen - Samme Stof Som Stof" is almost a masterpiece and the the best album of the year so far.. That's my opinion...
