Heard. Was disappointed... it's nowhere near as good as either The New Romance or Good Health. Still can't wait to see them in London tomorrow though!

it's a brilliant album.
i only bought it today
so will reserve judgement for a few days at least. but i will say: i saw them live tonight and the new songs were more exciting than the old ones.
'the nocturnal house' and whichever one has electronic beats and a sax were immense. fun was had by all.

I like it but I still really miss the whole ridiculously techincal guitar interplay. The album as a whole sounds a little more 'simplistic', for want of a better word. And there was NO FUCKING NEED to include Parade in the final tracklisting.

the powerful two guitar attack has gone. but this morning i'm still thinking about how great 'the nocturnal house' was live. the delayed guitar and whistles at the beginning = fists in the air.
'parade' makes me giggle, it sounds like 'come on eileen'! sounded good last night too.

Then again, I don't think I've ever seen too photos of her that look the same.
Also, is it coincidence that the first things to grace your eyes when you open the inlay are two hptoso of rather attractive ladies?

Anyway, the track numbers in the inlay go from 1-5/7-12 even though on the back it says there are only 11 tracks.
Then theres a bonus 12th track on the CD itself....
there's an interlude though.

I think the last track could well be the best song they've ever written. But I'm still struggling to get over the supreme levels of anger I harbour against Parade - it's completely destroying my enjoyment of the rest of the album.

i can sympathise. on the latest stars album, i absolutely must skip 'reunion' because it makes me want to slay toddlers. but i love the rest of the album.
