LA rock survivors, Jane's Addiction, have confirmed that they have signed a new deal with Capitol Records in the United States in preparation of the release of their new album 'Hypersonic' in July.

In an interview with Billboard.com, legendary cross-dressing, ex-smackhead frontman, Perry Farrell revealed that the group would release its first studio album in 13 years on July 22nd. The 11-track album was recorded with Bob Ezrin, who has Pink Floyd, Aerosmith and Kiss production credits to his name, and is the group's first new album since 1990's seminal 'Ritual de lo Habitual'.

The band, who consist of core original members Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins alongside Farrell are also playing the frontman's own Lollapalooza tour alongside Queens Of The Stone Age, Audioslave, Incubus, The Donnas, Jurassic 5 and A Perfect Circle. The tour is set to begin on July 3rd.

There are no set dates for Jane's to return to the UK following their Reading/Leeds shows last year, but it is expected that 'Hypersonic' will be released through EMI in the UK on July 21st.
